Question for those that have changed the bulbs on their pre-facelift tail lights, more in body

Hello!
I am wanting to change the tail light bulbs to LEDs, and aside from knowing the top is the turning indicator and would require an amber light, does anyone know or have any LED lights that would work? Aside from seeing the P21W label marked on pretty much all of the slots, does anyone know if I can use the 1156 bulbs in different colors from https://www.morimotohid.com/1156-Holley-RetroBright-LED-Bulbs\_6?quantity=1 ?
Much appreciated on the information. The only thing I have seen is a couple of folks warning about the car throwing an error if using LEDs…. if that is the case, what steps are required to code that check off?

Again, thank you again for any information. Surprisingly info on pre-facelift tail lights bulbs is kind of limited….

Car spec: 2000 BMW E39(obviously lol) 528i - prefacelift. Also I will note I have no desire to “update” the tail lights to facelift, I like the retro look :) Just trying to get new bulbs
