Scotland>>> US

Any one else had a hard time adjusting to the idea that suddenly it was beautiful Scotland then they’re planning to settle in the colonies?! I found it extremely hard and almost felt like the show became somewhat meaningless, lost a certain touch like that’s where they were supposed to stay, especially with Brianna coming to look for them at S4 🫪

Character dissatisfaction?

I’ve watched Outlander earlier this year and I am currently at Season 5, but already watched season 1 like 3 times! So I decided out of curiosity to read a few scenes I’ve found interesting and compare them to the book. And I did, which lead me to be half way through in Book 1. But one thing I’ve noticed was as I was reading the book my view and feelings towards Jamie’s character in the book were not the same as Jamie in the show, which is odd! Because his character on TV is basically the same as the book but almost sugar-coated! In the book he’s almost more in touch with his masculine side while still managing to be thoughtful and affectionate (even behind closed doors), but TV Jamie I feel was more on the affectionate side all around with an easier projection of his masculine side, it was effortless! In the book it’s quite the opposite, which I found very interesting and almost dissatisfactory, the same with Claire, in the show she’s fierce and always of an opinion, but in the book it’s almost subtle… which was kind of disappointing. Am the only one who felt this contradiction?

Masters ?

I’m currently in Erbil, and I’m an English Lit graduate. Are there schools here that offer MA programs? For example, Knowledge University!
If yes… so I’ll go down and ask.

ILETS ?

Hi!
I’ve been applying to MA programs at Spain, and I need an ILETS certificate as one of my papers. I’ll be coming to Hawler from Qamshlo to take the test there (since I live on the buried no nothing side). I was wondering how’s the experience if anyone had been through it ?
Any advice ?

Tanks! <3
