My Favourite Game: Dance Around the Table While You Bleed Out

It's fun for the whole family! An excellent strategy when dealing with the pesky undead.

Does not work against bikers. Not intended for ages 3 and under.

Tip: Regular Coffee Buff Overrides Blackstrap Coffee Buff

So this is new to me, an accidental discovery. Regular coffee will always override the extended buff provided by blackstrap coffee. (with the exception of 1 regular coffee and blackstrap consumed, giving you 9 minutes... which it treats as the cap, more on this later.)

Two examples:

  1. 2 blackstrap coffees plus 1 regular coffee equals 15 minutes buzz? Wrong. 9 minutes provided.

  2. Two regular coffees plus one blackstrap equals 12 minutes buzz? Wrong. 9 minutes provided.

Lesson learned, and I extend this knowledge to you. When faced with the choice, always consume one coffee type over the other, or blackstrap's longer duration will be wasted.

I believe the problem is you can only gain the effects of three of the same buff at once. For whatever reason, since the coffee buzz between both drinks are the same, it will prioritize the shorter buff duration of the regular coffee.

Want to Dress as a Neko Maid? Follow these Instructions!

If you're the kind of person where neko maids are your thing, here is how you can recreate that look within Terraria!

First, craft the maid outfit at a loom. This comes in standard and pink variants. The black and pink threads can be purchased from the Clothier NPC, and otherwise all you need is loads of silk crafted from spider webs. Personally, I skip bonnet in favour of...

Ears and tail! The fox ears and tail can be purchased from the Zoologist NPC, depending on the moon phase. These can mimic cat pieces under the right dyes (more on this below). Alternatively, you can go with the lizard or dog pieces.

Next, and finally, the dyes! There are many more available than meets the high. Combo and bright dyes exist for each variant, and the Hair Stylist NPC sells unique hair dyes, as well. Try to hide, remove, or dye accessories that clash with the look. Feel free to dye your pet, mount, light pet, and hook, as well!

And viola! Enjoy and experiment, and remember you can always change your hair style and hair colour at the Stylist NPC, as well!

No POI's Follow Up - My First 5 Days

This is a follow up to my No POI's debut post, which can be found here to fill in the context: https://www.reddit.com/r/7daystodie/comments/1ta89l6/no_pois_just_the_great_outdoors/

First, a short summary of my first five days. Lots of tree chopping, some clay and stone mining, and lots of scrounging around for garbage piles, and killing every zombie I've seen.

I have so many eggs, too many eggs...

Some notable finds have been an acid, two mechanical parts from a garbage pile, ammo from loot bags, and 13 steel from two back-to-back zombie loot containers. Magazine progression has been, as you may have guessed, extraordinarily slow, but I feel it's been manageable so far. I've only found three books, all Hunter's Journal, two of them duplicates. v.v

A trip out to the desert on the opposite side of the map took me through wasteland and snow. Walking up a hill only to be met with a dire wolf charging down towards me shaved 20 years off my life. Luckily, I lost its focus eventually. Later, I was about to shoot an arrow at what I thought was a burn victim. After realizing it was a feral wight, I puckered up and continued along my way.

Sadly, my 25 campfire screamer farm has yet to produce results.

Now, it is horde night. I can only hope my limited offensive capability will be enough.

As for skill points, I've taken 2 into Pummel Pete, 3 into Miner 69er, 2 into Mother Lode, 1 into Living off the Land, 1 into Master Chef, 1 into Iron Gut, another into Rule #1 Cardio, another into Machine Gunner, a single point into Animal Tracker (let's say it was not needed, my bad) and one more into Lock Picking.

No POI's. Just the great outdoors. 🌳

I've been getting the itch to try this challenge lately. No towns, no wilderness POI's, no roads or dirt paths, no traders, just me and the great outdoors. Can I survive? Or will the magazine progression system be my downfall?

How To BREAK Animal AI Completely - Vertical Scaffolding Ladders

Something a friend of mine pointed out to me. At first she thought that scaffolding ladders broke the animal AI period, but after extensive testing on my end, this isn't precisely true. Specifically, scaffolding ladders placed vertically completely breaks animal AI. This was the case in 1.4 apparently, up to today. They completely lose track of you, even if you walk up to them or shoot a gun. Horizontally placed scaffolding ladders (the default position) do not produce this problem.

Until TFP patch it, go wild I guess!

After all, why shouldn't I? Not all cheese is bad

Just finished a T2 clear, and look at what we have here. A T3 loot stash in a POI within spitting distance of this one. I mean, why shouldn't I? ;)
