Puppy rage at its finest!

Hey, all! Meet Comet, our 6 month old Goldador!

Comet has been an absolute chewer and a chomper, but for the most part, this has now simmered down. However, he still gets mad fits of puppy rage occasionally when he’s told to leave things alone or suddenly decides it’s time to flip his lid!

My partner’s arm is black and blue (thankfully we’re past the puppy teeth/razor teeth stage, so it’s just bruises and not cuts).

Has anyone else been through this particularly badly and what worked for you in the end? Sometimes he can be calmed with a toy/treat & command, but often he gets too worked up and there’s no coming back. We have to get him into his pen for him to stop. Walking away is difficult as he goes for your legs/knees/feet.

Any tips or tricks appreciated!

Under counter light bracket replacement

Hi, all! One of the clips broke for my under-counter lighting. I don't know what they're called to search for them. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The pictures are of an unbroken one, and the slot that they fit into on the light.

HELP! Grease stained duvet 😭

Someone put a paper bag with fried chicken in it, down on the bed. The grease soaked through to the duvet cover and then the duvet. The duvet now has a nice grease stain on it.

Instantly rubbed in bicarb with warm water, which visibly helped. It's now drying. What next steps would people take?

My car is a 2011, petrol, 1.4L Ford Fiesta Titanium.

This has been driving me insane for over a year now! Please help.

About a year ago, I was driving along and all of a sudden the car started beeping and making a weird beep/buzz sound. I lost power steering at this point, but didn't have time to check what else was/wasn't working. I managed to park up safely, thankfully. The car wouldn't start, so I called a friend with jump leads who came out and got me going again. I got home, went down the road to get a new battery and fitted it.

Around a week or so later, I noticed that my battery light had come on. I made it home and didn't use the car again that day. The next day, I tried to start the car, and it worked fine. No light, no problems. About a week later, I saw the light come on again mid-journey. So, the next day I took it to the garage, they checked the alternator, and it wasn't giving out enough to charge the battery, so I had a new alternator fitted.

All seemed good for around two weeks, but then the battery light came back on. I took it back to the garage. They checked everything they could think of that wouldn't be classified as a new job. They checked the alternator, checked the battery, cleaned all the connections, took the car for a drive, but nothing caused them alarm or made the light come on. They said they weren't sure what would be causing it.

Fast forward to now. The light still comes on sometimes. I can go two to three weeks without seeing it, then all of a sudden it's five times in two journeys. Since then, I have had someone come out to clean my headlights. I mentioned the problem to them, and they said that they were also a lifelong mechanic and that they had a diagnostic machine and would be happy to run it just to see if it was a computer error that needed clearing. They cleared all error messages and also updated some software. Again, for a week or so, it seemed like the problem was fixed, but alas, it was not.

I have spoken to three to four people who work with cars, and none of them knows the reason. One mechanic I spoke to suggested that it was likely a loose or partially broken wire. But at £100+ per hour just for the investigatory work, I haven't looked into that yet.

The car has passed its MOT in this time, and is otherwise fine. Although my driver's side window no longer automatically goes up, I have to hold the switch for it to do that (goes down with just a flick, though).

When the light comes on, I cannot turn on the front or back screen heaters (the little wires that run across them). Everything else appears to work. Stopping, turning off the engine for a few seconds and starting up again seems to solve it. Sometimes I turn off the radio and don't use the windows to help the battery usage, but it always seems to help get rid of the problem.

Please help, this is making my brain itch ha ha. All thoughts/theories welcome. Sorry for the essay!
