I'm new to jewel orchids indeed this will be my first one and I saw a disclaimer where I was going to buy my first macodes petola "dark". It says plants shipping with no leaves due to import.
Why they are shipping it with no leaves and can plant survive that way?
Update: I talked with the supplier he told that they generally do it for big leafed plants to decrease cargo fees he said macodes won't come leafless.
I want to keep Sphaerichtys vaillanti (Vaillant's chocolate gourami) but im not sure about the live stock, it will be a peat swamp riparium 95 44 50cm water level will be 30cm with a 25cm radius terrastrial part at the corner however im not sure about livestock should they be in a group like 3m3f or one pair would be better.
It would help a lot if someone who keeps/breed them helps.

Just aclimated in 12 gallon.
Already tannin heavy and i even tried to use sphangum peat directly but its just decreasing for a moment then increasing again. I know it could be because of high pH but water im using is 52ppm I can't afford KH tests but its impossible for it to be higher than 3dKH and I dont want to add any livestock until I get stable 6 pH what I can do?
I just realized my maharani gave some blooms this morning and wanted to share. I've never seen a buce blooms before.

I just bought a maharani i alume dipped it then it was emersed in the quarantine tank. Now its in my blackwater tank but it waves got somehow wavy could it be because of mineral deficiency or is there any other reason behind this
I was planning to have an Imbellis pair but while i was researching i see a lot of contradiction on keeping them in pairs. In Frank's Bettas he says it just a myth he saw some achieved ones but it definitely stresses female in the long run however there is a lot of breeders who able to keep them in pairs. So i wanted to ask if u guys have any experience with any bubblenester especially in splendends complex were u able to keep them in pair for a long term with a healthy female and would u recommend it.
PS: I don't want to keep a solo male one. I want to see the pair dynamics.
