Leaving tech sales

I've been in SaaS for the last 5 years and its time for me to move on to something different. Too much competition in tech, I was thinking to jump into recruitment.

Any good advice on how to break into tech recruitment or sales recruitment?

Career advice needed

Hello fellow sales people, I need a career advice.

I'm in B2B sales for 5 years now, mostly worked as a BDR, but I've done my fair share of running and closing meetings as well. I quit my last job in March and I've been trying my own business thing. I have a good looking pipeline, but I haven't closed anything yet. I'm blaming it on a few things, 1) my brand is shite, I need to invest more in my website, 2) The closing cycle for the business I'm after is rather long, 3) since I've been mostly involved in earler sales cycles, I'm really good at selling the meetings, but not great at closing them. I've just recently completed Benjamin Deneheys sales course, learned a ton about the sales meeting and how to close, so starting to practice some if that stuff.

Anyway, the current situation is a bit tricky. I have a few follow up meetings in September with a few tech companies that can (or can't) close.

However, in business the waiting game is high risk, and I'm leaving money on the table. So for now I've decided that I need explore the market, get a sales positon, and do my thing on the side.

What would you do if you were in my position, if you needed to land a good sales position quickly?

I've just started applying through Linkedin, but what's the fastest way to land a job?

Or perhaps what questions would you ask that I'm not seeing yet?

I really appreciate your advice guys.

Sales is tough for mental health, it's taking its toll on me for sure.

Thank you.

BDR - Looking to jump into AE role

Hello guys, I'm an experienced BDR (5 years), I've taken lots of demo meetings myself for a startup company that I worked that didn't have a propper sales team. So quite comfortable running demo meetings for SaaS companies, or selling good products in general.

I've completed Benjamin Deneheys sales training just recently.

I need to make a jump into an AE role, any ideas how to go about it. As we all know, AEs are cultivated internally not sourced from the outside, but shooting my shot here anyway.

Currently I'm looking for a sales job in Europe (English speaking territories), is there anyone in this group that could use my skillset?

RANT ABOUT A SALES DEAL

I have a frustrating case. I'm a founder of a recruiting business, former BDR myself. I find & vet software talent and hire them in the balkans for EU companies.

One of my previous employers (from Israel) reached out to me and said hey I saw you have software devs for hire, lets talk. We talk and I tell him the rates and he said great find me a candidate. I told him that for me to start the search and vet the talent its going to cost 500 Euros.

This was one of my first clients.... and he does fulfill the stereotype and says hey can I pay this 500 Euros after I decide to hire the talent to which I STUPIDLY SAID OK! I So much hate myself for that.

I start the work, conduct 2 interviews (one technical one personality fit) with the talent, they CONDUCT ANOTHER 3 INTERVIEWS WITH HIM! Major red flag, why the heck will you need 3 interviews... anyway, AND THEN HE GOES SILENT.

I try following up with him, he says hey Kim, reach out back to us in a month, we just changed our CTO, going through some internal changes so we need to postpone this ( doesn't apologize, doesn't take into account the fact that I HAVE DONE FREE WORK FOR THIS POS). I do follow up with him in a month, he answers the phone by "hello who is this, do we know each other?".... like god damn brother, are you that kind of a low life form.

Anyway the last follow up was today, as he told me to follow up with him, and today he tells me "hey we have audit today, so let's talk another day". Like for fucks sake, I'm treating you with the benefit of a former employer and an acquaintance, you're treating me like a random sales guy.

Very very disappointed at this Israeli company. (ps. it's not the first time that I've had differences with middle eastern cultures, something about me and them just doesn't work.... I think I've learned my lesson, I'm never .... NEVER doing ANY business with countries to the east of Greece.)

Anyway, rant over. I'm just not fully satisfied without posting his number and giving him a shit-ton of cold callers day in and out... the urge to just post his number is freaking real.

Ugh... I think I'll just send a text to him saying "I'm very disappointed, feel free to find somebody else, I don't think we will work together anyway". Just so that I mark this deal as lost in my head and I get over it.

Don't do my mistakes guys. No discounts, no favors, those that want to buy will buy, tire kickers do what they do. Don't fall for the acquaintance trap.

Locked out of my account - 2FA active

Hello people, I'm in a pickle here. I've been locked out of my account in Microsoft, I've lost my phone.

Now every time that I ask to sign in it's asking me to enter the code shown in my authenticator.

How do I call them to help me fix this?
