How tf is this place still around?! We spent $70 on dinner last night and only ate 2-3 bites.
I have low expectations for BBQ in this town, but holy crap. It was awful

I bought a 2015 2.0 limited fleet car back in 2020. I’m a sales rep for the entire east coast.
It’s now on 236k miles. No rebuilds, regular oil change. The battery was a little stupid to change
Y’all act like these things at 20,000 are on borrowed time.
Are they really this bad or are the bad reviews just louder?

Over the last few months with the new implementation of parking codes. I’ve seen quite a bit of foot traffic in the downtown area slow. I work for a landlord doing property management. We are losing lease renewals and new tenants aren’t happy with having to pay rent and pay to park.

Today, I received a parking ticket. I thought I was going crazy. I knew I paid my parking for the allotted time.
Started looking. I paid it. But I thought ah. I’ve fought a few. I’ll just pay this one….

To my surprise, they typed my license plate in wrong. They were off 1 digit.

I wonder how many people they’ve screwed over that have the same mentality of “ah I’ll just pay it”

Humans make mistakes. Totally understandable.
I feel like this needs to be addressed much higher up. Especially , if we are just minutes late putting money in the meters or the app does register your payment or crashes while you’re under the assumption it is paid. We wouldn’t be given any grace except a 2 minute window between a ticket getting issued and confirming a purchase on the app.

Me(29) wife (30) have had several conversations about having another child. I grew up with a sister. She was an only child with step siblings she saw infrequently.
Recently I lost my father and it’s made me come to the realization that when we leave this earth, she’s completely alone. (I know without considering friends)
I’m a type 1 diabetic so my time is on average more borrowed than my wife’s. Anything can happen though.

We are comfortable with our current household size, but we just feel like something is missing for several points, not just so our daughter has an immediate family support system.

It feels selfish bringing another child into the mix knowing my fate and what happens after.
