Hopefully a simple answer to a stupid question.
When a weapon has multiple damage dice, for example the Blunt sword (2d8). Do the player knights add the total together or count each dice separately for dealing out damage and gambits etc.
Using the above as an example if a player has a sword (2d8) and a shield (d4) and they roll; sword a 6 and 5, shield a 4. Does the sword deal 11 and the shield 4 or… are the 2 dice from the sword considered as separate so; 6, 5 and 4 to distribute?

I was reading the Oddpocrypha at the end of the book and in the section titled “between ages” the Ref makes reference to the players picking from the Pursuits list. Have I missed this in the book? Because I can come across this list anywhere ?

I’ve just purchased the book and I’m really excited to run a game. I just want to check with the learned community about armour.
So most of the knights have some form of armour (helm/plate/shield etc) with A1 after them.
What I want to know is; does the A1 reduce incoming damage and is it cumulative? So does a knight with a helm and plate reduce damage by 2 (A1+A1)?
I can’t seem to find an explanation of what A1 represents and how it works in my first read through of the book.

I want to get into the game but I’m finding the books quite expensive to order with the added delivery charge of shipping from the US (usually around £15 shipping). Does anyone know the best place to order physical books from that doesn’t break the bank?

On page 40-41 of the Core rule book it says that the parents have earned additional glory by the time the player knights have turned 14 in the year 501. But on the heroic events table on a roll of a 6 there are 4 events that occur after the year 501…..in the future?
Does this mean that it will happen by the time the player knights attain knighthood? Or is it a mistake?

Do any of you fine people have any suggestions on the best way of running the combat aspect of the Vast Oblivium? Specifically the Maw and its multiple levels. I really want to do it on a map but the size, elevation, bridges and positioning on the minis is a daunting task. Any suggestions on what I can do to make it easy for me and the players to understand and enjoy would be greatly appreciated.
