% Levant admixture in Karaite (Egyptian) Jews?

What level of Levantine admixture do Karaite Jews from Egypt get?

I’ve rarely if ever seen a post from an Egyptian Jew on their IllustrativeDNA.

Theoretically they should have potentially even more Bronze Age (Canaanite), Iron Age Levantine and Roman Levant era admixture to most populations from the Southern Levant (so other Mizrahi Jews from Israel, Palestinian Arabs and so on). They may even be on par with Samaritans in that respect.

Can anyone confirm with some samples from Illustrative or otherwise?

Today's Tigray was created by forcibly assimilating different ethnicities. For example, in Welkait and Raya, the TPLF (Adwa Tigray) forbade people from listening to Amharic music, among other restrictions and atrocities, to enforce the assimilation of the native Amhara people of Welkait and Raya.

By promoting Tigrayan nationalism and assassinating older generations who knew their roots and fighting those who rebelled like the Kefagn self defense militia, a regional force formed to protect local Amhara identity in Welkait, the TPLF worked to eliminate non ethnic Tigrayans or push them toward accepting the Tigrayan identity. This strategy worked on a large number of people living in the Tigray region, but some still refuse to accept this forced identity.

Can someone run some models for the below coords on g25? It seems as if it’s getting models that say it’s closer to Ethiopian Amhara when it’s not (it’s a Tigrayan sample). Also if someone could go to work out Eurasian vs SSA admixture for the below?

As the post above says. My friend is getting closer distances and single population models that give him Amhara as his core population admixture. If yall could help him figure out what he actually is? And what his admixture of West Eurasian vs SSA is based on these coordinates?

Habesha results

Hi guys. These are my genetic results.

As far as I know, all of my ancestry is from Ethiopia from Tigray, and maybe only one ancestor from Gojjam in Amhara region, but aside from that I have a rooted lineage in the Adwa mountain area and surrounding areas.

  1. Why are my regions on 23andme not certain or “very close”? At best I get close for my regions and “distant” for others. Is 23andme not that accurate in mapping regions for people as we think it is? The regions themselves aside from “Amhara and Oromo peoples” seem accurate but can anyone comment?

  2. What percentage of subsaharan vs Eurasian DNA do I have? I guess based on the IllustrativeDNA Hunter gatherer results it’s 55-45? Can someone calculate this here? And am I more Eurasian or African shifted? I dislike knowing I could possibly be more autosomally Eurasian than African.

  3. Why is my Natufian admixture so minimal (only 26%) when most northern Ethiopians tend to have around 50% of their Hunter gatherer derived DNA from the Natufians?

  4. Why do I have Eritreans as my closest modern population on Illustrative? I have had some family live there but genetically I don’t have any Eritrean descent that I directly know of? What’s the issue there?
