I’m building the production roster for Vortex Visual, focused on performance creatives for DTC/e-commerce brands.

I’m looking specifically for experienced editors who already produce strong Meta and TikTok paid ads. This is not a general YouTube or basic short-form editing role.

I’m looking for editors experienced with:

• DTC / e-commerce paid ads
• UGC and direct-response creatives
• AI-assisted UGC and realistic AI-generated product scenes
• Strong hooks in the first 1–3 seconds
• Product B-roll and demonstrations
• Fast, clean pacing and pattern interrupts
• Captions, sound design and polished finishing
• Multiple hook / creative variations for testing
• Taking successful concepts and producing fresh variations

Expected rates for future client projects:

• Standard 20–45 sec performance ad: $50–80
• AI-heavy / more complex performance ad: $70–100
• Additional hook variations: $10–20 each

Exact rates depend on quality, complexity and what assets are provided.

Important: I’m currently building the production roster before client acquisition starts. There is no guaranteed volume yet, and I am not asking anyone to do unpaid test work.

If we later have a client project that matches your style and availability, all production work will be paid.

We are currently reviewing portfolios first. This is a freelance, project-based opportunity, so there is no guaranteed weekly volume or monthly salary. Work will be assigned when a confirmed client project is available.

What you would be responsible for:

• Editing German talking-head and educational short-form videos
• Removing pauses, filler words and unnecessary sections
• Creating accurate German captions
• Improving pacing with clean and intentional cuts
• Adding light zooms, text emphasis and simple motion elements
• Using relevant B-roll or screenshots when they improve the video
• Adding basic music and sound effects where appropriate
• Delivering clean, polished and brand-consistent final edits
• Applying feedback and meeting agreed deadlines

We are looking for a premium-looking, retention-focused editing style. The goal is not to overload every video with random effects. We care about strong timing, visual taste, storytelling, consistency and making the content feel professional.

This is not a heavy VFX or cinematic editing role. The edits should be clean, dynamic and engaging without becoming over-edited.

Compensation:

$10 per completed short.

There is no upfront payment required to apply. We will first review your portfolio. If your style is a good fit and a client project becomes available, you will be paid per completed video.
