“I don’t want a cheeseburger, I want revenge” sealed the deal for me.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Aubry win at first (though happy it was her over the Jonathan/Joe), however I’m warming up to it given the following realization:

So much of the early season meta discussion was around the prevalence of strong pregame alliances and how they’re table stakes for returnee seasons, with some arguing without it a contestant is dead in the water/has no shot.

So the fact that one of the only contestants who, from what I gather, did zero pregaming (since she was a last minute replacement) ended up placing first is quite the accomplishment.

I think her win really is a testament to how well she played the middle as well as correctly identified that that strategy was the right strategy for her to get to the end given her lack of pregame alliances.
