Please recommend a roofing company for Apopka. Including metal roofing. I’m not sure if I’ll do shingles or metal. Thank you!

Was really hoping not to ask this of you for a few more years. But home insurance is targeting our subdivision this year. Orlando, Florida. 11 year old architectural shingle roof currently

I’m a new first time homeowner. I know nothing.

I’m in a subdivision where everyone has architectural shingles. That’s the HOA requirement. But I don’t want to be at the mercy of home insurance again and would prefer a metal standing seam if I could afford it. I would ask my HOA to approve a metal standing seam roof.
I believe they last a really long time and the insurance company wouldn’t be asking for a replacement in 10-15 years if I got one.

Looking for any advice and education but specifically:

Please educate me on advantages of metal standing seam vs. architectural shingles.

Please advise me on what to know, look for from a company.

Please tell me what the normal warranty coverage is for metal vs. shingles.

Also, if I tell a company that I’m getting multiple quotes will that keep the quote lower because of competition.

I asked AI for the best metal roofing company. They gave me a list based on the most reviews.

I just bought and tried the Jalapeno Ranch Chips. Just letting you know they have strong jalapeno flavor. I was hoping for ranch flavor with some spice (zing).

I’m blessed to have someone coming to replace my contactor and capacitor. He used to own a repair business but owning his own company was a headache so now has a different job and does repairs for side money.
I asked him about cost when he was here getting the parts information and he gave me a vague statement about me paying what I thought was right.
I’ll ask him again for a price but if it’s vague I want to make sure I pay an appropriate amount. I plan on giving him a gift card for a gas station as a tip.
What is a fair payment (cash) for the parts and installation?
