Parents had one if these for years until it ripped . What a great memory .

TV guide was a fixture in our house , not only did it serve as a TV guide , but a coaster, fly swatter etc.

Dunder is the original 1823 Dutch name for the reindeer that is known as Donner today.

The Original Name

First appearance: The 1823 poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas" (widely known as "'Twas the Night Before Christmas") first named the reindeer.

Dutch roots: The original text used the names Dunder and Blixem.

Meaning: In Dutch, these words translate directly to "thunder and lightning".

What smell brings back the memory of the old fashioned holiday to you? Mine, Italian wedding soup. We'd pull into Grandma's driveway you could smell it from that basement stovetop. Grandma and Great Grandma up all night , what a great memory . That smell triggers that memory every time.

Taken from a tv special round Chicago in the Rocky mountains in 1973 with special guest Al Green. Verry musical.... they seem to be having a lot of fun playing.
