Help Identifying TV Date/Era of Manufacture

I found this on the sidewalk on my drive home tonight. The back panel identifies this as a GE model 830. It appears to me to be late 40s or maybe early 50s but I’m not sure. A quick google search of the model number doesn’t yield any results that even look like this. Overall it seems to be in good shape cosmetically, except for the debris in between the screen and glass, though I’ve yet to try and power it up.

Found a modified old soviet TV up for auction. Any guesses as to what the mod is?

It's a VL-100 70's soviet TV. It's black and white VHF radio signal, and accepts wall power or 12V car battery (yes, really). The DIY mod seems to run into a new hole directly above the power input, but the knob makes me doubt its a battery...wicked cool.

1991 Sony Watchman FDL-K400

Initially the display was unwatchable, but it got progressively better over the course of about half an hour to the point that it's watchable. It's sort of like watching a worn out SLP VHS tape recorded from a broadcast recieved by rabbit ears. I've got it hooked up to a digital media player over composite. I think it needs a recap, but I'm not skilled enough to do that, so hopefully I can find someone to give it some TLC.

Vertical Locking Issues

Been trying to not post this dang tv again, but I’m fresh out ideas so here were are lol. I’ve finally got the linearity looking pretty good, but I can’t seem to get the vertical to lock now, which is especially annoying because it was fine before the linearity was fixed. So far what I’ve done is replace the filter cans, vertical integrator, which is one of those couplate things, wax capacitors, and any resistor that was out of spec. In the video it decided to lock for a lot longer than it usually does, but it still started rolling again. It’s strange because it seems to lock, then randomly start rolling again, and the speed/direction of the rolling will change randomly. It kinda looks like the image is pulsing when it is holding still, and almost as if one of those pulses sets the rolling off. Any suggestions are appreciated, and if this is some big issue you can’t fix easily I’ll prolly just say good enough and move on to the next project cuz the picture tubes not that bright anyways😪

How do I get a signal?

I got this Bentley portable tv/radio at a yard sale. How do I get the channels to get a signal? I would imagine there is something I can plug into the antenna hole and the channels will show up. Please explain like I’m a toddler. My son is excited to watch anything that we can get to show up on it.

Need help finding power supply for old portable LCD TV

I just got a Sony Watchman FDL-K400. It's a US model, and I'm in the UK. The video system difference isn't an issue to me, but the power supply is. I'd hoped it was going to be a multi-voltage unit, as the seller had a video of the TV in use, but it's not. I really don't want to screw around with step-down transformers and sine wave convertors, so can somebody here tell me if there's a UK or european equivalent power supply I can buy to use instead? Or should I just buy a third party battery and charger instead?

Trying to find a manual for this Jerrold cable box I just got

i just got 3 jerrold impulse cable boxes (DVP7*** series) at a thrift store for my cable system and they didnt come with a manual. they work, but there are several buttons (pressing “PC/PM” just shows “PL”, im assuming it means parental lock) that i have no clue how to use. ive looked everywhere online for the manual but couldnt find one that was scanned in. does anyone know if there is a manual online or know what all the huttons do?

Replaced the filter cap in my CTC118A

NOTE: Sometimes when nothing is connected, it looks like it doesn't have enough vertical deflection. Anyway, It was a 2 section TEAPO filter cap. 30uf at 250v section was still good, it was the 600uf 200v section that went bad (reading over 25 ohms and 0.02uf)

Not sure how or why it went bad. When i tested it out at the original owner's house, it came on just fine with no issues (other than a lazy green gun) I brought it home and had it plugged it in for a few days. I turn it on, and see what's happening in the second pic. And the speaker was humming.

1956 CTC-5 (color!!)

I never thought i would own a color set from the 50s. Im over the moon. I have the legs and the back too! I haven't tested the picture tube yet but im hopeful because it has many original rca tubes and there isnt much discoloration around the electron guns. Ill have to buy a tester to be sure. I know to replace all the wax paper caps before doing anything else and check out the electrolytics (im in the reform vs replace camp with 50s electrolytics), ill power it on with a lightbulb etc. I have one other 50s motorola black and white set I worked on and a ton of radios but this is my first color set so its gonna be a learning curve.

What should I do about the disintegrating insulation around the deflection yoke? Its the only thing so far im not sure about.

Found this RCA Victor New Vista in an alley - when is it from exactly?

The model # is CH258W. I haven't found that exact model yet but I think it's 1967 or earlier - I'm seeing online that they discontinued 'New Vista' in 1968. Is that correct? I have no idea if it's fixable, but it's cool!
