How does one get into the Voice Acting Industry for Dragon Ball?

How does one get into the Voice Acting Industry for Dragon Ball?

Hey everyone! Longtime Dragon Ball fan here and felt the need to throw my two cents in about a topic I feel doesn’t get nearly enough discussion that being the voice acting primarily for the Funimation English Dub.

As someone who grew up watching the original Dragon Ball Z movies while simultaneously reading through the manga I cannot help but be curious about what it would take to become part of the series even if it’s in a small one off type of roll. How do the voice actors manage to find work? Is the audition process hard for obtaining roles as characters… even if they’re just for a single appearance? I’d love to find out how it is all done.

In case anyone’s wondering, yes, I am talking about wanting to become a voice actor for this truly iconic franchise. How does a person go about it? I know that there could be training that would be helpful for myself, but currently I am decent at impersonating mainly villains with their lower gruff sounding type of voice. Forget playing the hero or sidekicks, I feel like it’d be more fun and entertaining in general to try playing the role of an antagonist to truly put myself to the test.

If anyone would have any useful information about how I could get my journey started into the vast ocean that is the anime industry, please feel free to let me know!

Rivals of Aether II Workshop: Armando

Hello everyone!

Ever since it was announced and more recently being finally released via PC the Workshop feature for Rivals II has been incredibly fun to have as part of the game. This has no doubt sparked a ton of creativity within the community and for that I’m excited for what the future holds. However like anything I can’t help but feel a tad concerned so please bare with me as I do my best to articulate my thoughts.

In comparison to the original Rivals of Aether, what’s the overall general consensus so far about the Workshop feature and its potential? As someone who frequently checks to see what new characters are added pretty much every week if time permits me to do so… is it solely me here or does it feel like we’re in a bit of a low waning period? By that I mean with the player count already seemingly divided between the original game and Rivals II will the Workshop become more popular due to the games engine being fully 3D now instead of the retro inspired pixel sprites?

Ever since I originally discovered this feature in the first game back in 2021, I was admittedly for a while absolutely obsessed but from all this inspired me to begin my journey as a small but dedicated content creator. With all of this in mind looking toward the future here what does everyone think about the Workshops potential in Rivals II so far in comparison to the original game? I’d love to find out what the community thinks as we patiently wait for the next major update from Aether Studios!
