A friend just went to the JW Marriott Palm Desert and the aviary is permanently closed. According to hotel staff, the parrots have all “retired.” When she asked where they went, she said no one at the hotel knows. Does anyone know where they went? Or have any other information about what happened to the parrots? 🦜
When I took her out to go potty she promptly laid down in the grass for a nap instead of doing her business.

I’ve seen a lot of posts lately about how much worse Disneyland is now, and while I understand that perspective, I’d love to hear the opposite too.
I grew up going to Disneyland and definitely have nostalgic memories that probably couldn’t happen the same way today. But now I’m back as a Magic Key holder experiencing the parks as an adult and with my family, and there are also things I genuinely enjoy about today’s Disneyland.
So I’m curious: what changes over the years do you think have actually been positive?
I’ve ridden Soarin’ Around the World and felt totally fine, but after the California version I ended up feeling kind of queasy. Curious if anyone else has had this experience.
Has anyone else experienced spot saving in a single rider line? Today was the first time I experienced it (twice!) while waiting in the single rider line for Hyperspace Mountain. It was just 1 person each time. But c’mon, it’s called single rider for a reason.
