40 Tons or less match

I played a 10k bv friendly game against my friend the other day and we limited ourselves to 40 tons or less. It was so much fun! These speedy little bastards zooming around doing funny stuff and gutting each other.

Some highlights:

My friend pointed out his Assassin was closing in on me with a sword. My Viper shot at the Assassin and destroyed the sword on a crit

My cougar t and his howler closed in face to face and spent 3 turns shooting each other with only minor damage due to rolling like crap. Both were still alive at the end of the game

His Mist Lynx J got behind my Fire Falcon and shot everything from 2 hexes away. All shots missed.

Later in the game my fire falcon had an ammo cookoff due to heat

My kit fox was Sparta kicked off a cliff by his Sentinel then got its' engine destroyed next turn

His Assassin failed a PSR for death from above and fell into his Javelin instead of landing on my Adder

TL;DR Battletech is fun. I have a great time even when I'm getting my shit wrecked.

Help me find an Angier, NC police patch

Posting here because I cannot get r/patchtrading to load (mods tried but can't figure out why I can't view the sub)

My uncle was an Angier cop for a long time and he passed away a few months before my academy started in 2023. I had his old patch in my uniform pocket when I graduated.

I'm currently working county booking and we have a patch wall for local agencies and agencies with family connections. If any of you have an Angier Police patch or can get me one I'll send you one of ours for your troubles. I just want to have an extra one to stick up there so nothing happens to the one he gave me.

Thanks!

Can I use your barrel vise?

Does anyone in here near Syracuse have a good quality bench top style barrel vise I can use? I'm in the middle of trying to install a replacement Criterion barrel on an M1917 the barrel keeps spinning in my vise. I've tried using hardwood blocks with rosin but it just isn't gripping, same problem with my lead jaws.

Looking to avoid buying a specialty tool or going to a gunsmith if I can avoid it.

Thanks

M1917 rebarrel questions

I've been meaning to get around to this for a while and finally committed to the project. I got the old barrel off, new Criterion barrel is on the way. Once I get the new barrel on and lined up with the witness mark I just need to run a couple turns with a finish reamer until the bolt will close on a go gauge correct?

I want to make sure I rent the right tools the first time.

Local politician running for reelection posted his Air Force picture and says he was in for 34 years. What are all of his awards?

Everything below was cut off in the picture he used unfortunately

Picked this up from the ffl today and it came with two OEM mags that appear identical but one doesn't drop free. Are there any common issues to look for with these? I stripped the frame down and cleaned everything in the ultrasonic already with no change.

Also I've gotta say I'm not a fan of the adjustable sights. I wish trijicon still made sights for these models.
