What's the most random Reel that blew up on your account?

Sometimes the video you put the least effort into ends up doing better than the one you spent hours editing. Did that happen to you? What was the reel?

Just hit my first 1,000 views on an Instagram reel!

Today I got my first 1,000 views on an Instagram Reel.

If you don't really know what you're doing like me (only 4 days into my UGC “career” 😂), Instagram honestly feels way better to start out on than TikTok.

The main reasons:

They make you scan your face if they think you're a bot.

They don't just randomly shadowban you like TikTok seems to.

Especially with crazy bad TikTok's support team.

Post 1 Flair: Question Title: What's the most embarrassing thing you've accidentally posted on Instagram?

We've all had at least one "delete it before anyone notices" moment. Maybe it was the wrong Story, an accidental DM, a bad caption, or a photo you instantly regretted. What's your funniest Instagram fail?

I just realized I barely remember the last few years of my life. Instagram might be why.

Lately I've been trying to spend less time on Instagram, so I checked my screen time. Even after cutting back, I was still spending hours on the app every week. That made me stop and think about how much of my life has quietly gone into scrolling.

Then I tried something that honestly bothered me. I sat down and tried to remember what I'd actually done over the last several years not what I posted, but what I had learned, built, or experienced. I struggled to come up with much besides work and the occasional time with friends.

What hit me the hardest was realizing how much of my attention had gone into watching other people's lives instead of building my own. I always told myself I didn't have enough time to learn new skills or do something meaningful, but looking back, the time was there. I just spent a lot of it scrolling.

Now I feel like I've lost years without even noticing. If you've ever felt this way and managed to break out of it, what actually helped? I'm not looking for "just delete the app." I want to know what genuinely helped you start living more intentionally.

What's something you miss about old Instagram?

For me, it felt like people posted because they wanted to share moments, not because they were trying to build a brand. What's the biggest difference you notice between Instagram then and now?

Instagram is lying to us.

Instagram keeps saying, "We've reviewed your account and confirmed it was correctly disabled," but then refuses to tell you what you actually did wrong. If the decision was really correct, why not show the post, comment, or action that violated the rules? Instead, users are left with a generic message and no real explanation. With so many people reporting false bans and AI moderation mistakes, it feels like Instagram would rather hide behind automated responses than be transparent about its decisions.

I grew my account from 0 to 1 million followers in 7 days Body

Proof? Nah just trust me.

I swear I see posts like this almost every day. The funny part is they never share the account. The moment someone asks for proof, they either stop replying or delete the post altogether.

If you're going to make a post about massive growth, share what actually made the difference. Not the same generic advice like optimize your bio, post consistently, use a good profile picture, or find the best posting time. Everyone has heard that a thousand times already.

Talk about the content itself. What did you post? Why did you think it would work? What failed before it finally took off? Give people something they can actually learn from instead of generic tips.

I'm not against people promoting themselves or selling a course or service. But if you're making big claims, back them up. Show the account, explain the process, or at least provide enough detail for others to verify or learn from it.
