first timer. monotubin’. 2 strains. vendor supplied grain and substrate. grain spawn went fine. substrate colonization - solid. no signs of contaminates. let the sub fully colonize for about 10 days then set fruiting conditions. tubs are at ~77-78F with gentle non-direct air circulation (micropore taped vents)…i have not added a drop of water to either cake. fine condensation on the inside walls of the tub at times; comes and goes. i can always find a few fine drops of water in the nooks and crannies of the cake…so i don’t think hydration of the sub is an issue? finally got some pins in one tub…the other tub is close. just seems like it’s taking way longer than it should. one has been in fruiting conditions since 20May, the other since 26May.
just looking for a quick sanity check. stay the course? or anyone see anything i’m missing? say thankya!

long time lurker…first time grower. hillbillies…s2b on 08May. mixed substrate and grain spawn 1:1. put a thin casing layer on top. introduced fae on 20May. monotub tek. my take? just let do its thing…everything has looked good (to me) so far. curious if anyone sees anything different?
