Is this what they mean when they said your Twin Flame will break you open?

Very recent separation. My DM and I never dated. We started to talk after having each other in our sights for months. Both very shy individuals, always running parallel to each other, never a moment to intersect fully. We did have moments, however, when we sit together and would look into each other’s eyes and I felt something deeper than life. And I think he did the same. His smile every time he saw me is the most beautiful one I ever saw in a human. I got to know the basics of him and his behavior, and I was hungry for every bit. I let myself wanting every possible thing you can imagine, with him. For the first time in my life.

Then life hit. Hard. The unfixable, permanent kind. One single mistake of his punished to the max. And I decided to walk away, for my own good. But the heartbreak has been unbearable. I have cried and made sounds I didn’t even thought I was able to make. I have prayed endlessly while crying in fetal position. Questioned everything. I have lost the joy of visiting new places, of eating, doing the things I used to love, all of it. I’m scared because the most intense heartbreak I had was 13 years ago when my Dad died, and I feel like this one tops even that.

I’m in therapy, but I wanted to move forward and see what can I aspire a year from now. And I realize that the life that is projected for me, even best case scenario, does not feel right. Does not feel enough. A life of healing and accepting and be “at peace”, going back to the state I once was before meeting him is not something I would want. So I’m here asking myself: what is next? Who do I want to be after separation, in an honest way, that I can say: I’m happy where I am at. I had a very rooted identity, pretty sure of who I was. I don’t know anymore.

Knowing my DM fell victim into life’s circumstances and that he will be falling apart in the years to come does not make it easy either.

How to tell my friend he needs to take care of himself before he ruins his life completely?

My friend dated a girl for about three weeks before getting her pregnant. They were not even official, now they are. He's definitely going for a shotgun wedding because that's who he is but I'm not sure anyone has talked to him about a potential paternity test or protect his assets when getting married (he's successful). He has known this girl for about 4 months now. Family is super happy about the baby.

I would definitely prefer this not to come from me because I have no idea how he's going to take it. Should I suggest it to a male friend, then? Just don't want him to be taken advantage of. I know my own sex and what some women are capable of.

Any of you guys had life handing you your crush after a while/a missed opportunity/timing?

Just looking for some positive stories to keep up hope. I have been crushing on this guy for a year now. We met at his work space so it was pretty restrictive but we did do a lot of intense eye contact and he was smiling and encouraging. I did approached him and made conversation, he seemed delighted. We kept it going but slowly. I’m not super open and it seems that neither is him. We stared at each other a lot and I could see lots of curiosity in there, but he would touch his neck or ground himself and give information on things I had not asked. We didn’t officially made a move (exchange socials, phone number, etc) and then he appeared with a girlfriend. By the time he was already dating her, he still continued to look at me intensely and even checked me out allowing me to notice.

I have observed them together. Honeymoon phase and all but he’s not displaying closeness in public or photos or anything. We still ran into each other. He has locked eyes with me even in her presence or with her standing a few meters away but I’m taking my distance because I won’t make a move on a guy who’s taken. His birthday was recently and I heard he has been facing a lot of pressure to get settled down and that people were even recommending people to him.

So is there any similar experience that you guys had? That timing was completely off or you guys hold back and after some learning and standing up by yourselves, the opportunity was handed back to you?

I just don’t understand what happened?

Just completed my first egg retrieval. I’m age 34, super healthy. AMH a bit low for my age (0.95 ml) and AFC of 12 (previous month AFC of 15). AFC stayed at 10 during stimulation but the cohort was growing incredibly tight and it ended at 12 again at trigger shot (with only one at size 12 mm, the rest within a mature follicle size).

I got only 8 eggs retrieved. 6 mature and frozen. My estradiol was HIGH (2,447) and indicating more towards 8-10. I’m so disappointed and just want to cry. I won’t be doing another cycle. And 6 is basically no chance of a live birth.

I’m a fighter and poured everything of myself going through this alone. For nothing.

Recovery time after Egg Retrieval?

Hello!

Just want to know an approximate time that it took you to get back to normal after egg retrieval. I would have a big 18-day trip, two weeks after retrieval. I do have a pretty heavy rhythm and can walk like crazy every day. I expect to be swimming and surfing as well.
