Just wondering, how feasible is it that Yara is a trans girl? (with some points as I am a believer)
Was rereading the book series, and I just finished book 2! This is something that I've just been thinking about a lot.
Just gonna list out some key things from books 1&2
Book 1: Trying to conform to masculinity
+ Constantly trying to emulate Tedros, the embodiment of perfect masculinity and princely behavior at the School for Good
+ Chasing after Beatrix, the ideal girl in the School for Good, like every other Everboy
+ At the Trial for Tale, asking out Kiko (as she clearly has feelings, and again, is expected behavior)
Book 2: More freedom
+ Tedros is no longer the gold standard, as he is the cause for the shameful situation the School for Boys find themselves in (although Yara still stays a friend)
+ Yara is an outsider at both the School for Boys and Girls, but at Boys feels out of place and disliked while at Girls, is recognized for who she is, even though other girls still speculate and gossip about her unique traits (kinda i guess you could look at it as not being able to fully pass? *but also she is also a "new" student at the school)
+ Aric (evil gay{?} but definitely has a STRONG dislike for girls) always hated her
+ When she is dying, she says "I'm not Yara," which I view as her saying that they know her by a different name, even if it is not necessarily the name that she prefers (and specifically chooses not to use in the sentence)
+ She also thanks Tedros for supporting her and being a good friend
+ Part of my thoughts too is that literally every person in the School for Boys hated the place, but Yara is the only one to go to the School for Girls, and is willing to be used by Dean Sader just to be able to exist as a girl in the school
+ But in the end, this is all just speculation, and it's not like anything is officially confirmed (at least nothing that I know about)
