Space between increases

Space between increases

What am I doing wrong here? I’ve tried to even out stitches with a crochet hook and hitch is why they’re different sizes, but my issue is the gap between the r/l leaning increases and the two center stitches. I can’t even it out with a hook so I imagine I’m doing something wrong. Just cannot figure out what my issue is. I followed a tutorial and am almost certain I’m doing everything correctly, I’ve done increases before with no issue. Please help!!

Why are my yellow stitches separating oddly

Why are my yellow stitches separating so much compared to the blue? I was using two yarns for the blue but ultimately same thickness as yellow. Yellow rows are decreased but it’s not stretching. Is it because I’m knitting in the round and just have fewer stitches to stretch on the needles? Any way to prevent this? Don’t hate it but would like to identify the cause

Finding dating apps

Found download history on my husbands phone, unintentionally. They’re old downloads, but I’m still breaking. Around the time we started dating unofficially, over six years ago, he downloaded grindr and another gender curious dating app. I dont care about orientation, I care about the dishonesty around it. The bigger issue is that two years into our relationship, he downloaded Ashley Madison and another app called “kasual” (“an anonymous, location-based dating app geared toward casual encounters, friends with benefits, and no-strings-attached (NSA) relationships”). I should’ve sat on it but I brought it up last night. I was direct, I wasn’t accusatory or loud. I feel like my world is crumbling. He was mostly defensive and in denial. After I called my mom and cried to her for what felt like hours, he softened a bit, but was generally removed. I think it over. Don’t know what to do. I don’t want it to be, I just want respect and honesty, it’s the defensiveness that gets me. It holds more weight than any acceptance of the pain he causes. I love him so much this fucking sucks, sorry I’m ranting now.

Seeing parents in the wild

How have parents reacted (or not reacted) if you’ve seen or run into them out in public? Warm, cold? Interested, totally ignored you? Particularly curious about those in larger centres or with higher turnover rates that may not be extremely close with each parent. It’s very strange to me to think about being nonchalant towards someone who has cared for your child in any regular capacity.

Training unpopular opinion rant

Siberians aren’t hard to train, they’re just severely under exercised and under sniffed. My baby is six, and neither my partner or I ever had a dog growing up together, he’s our first.

Caveat that I did choose him based on a chill temperament, so this absolutely factors in, but he still has a crackhead mode.

That aside, I consistently get compliments on his behaviour. I’m certain thats because he runs on a sled team mid fall to early spring, and in the summer I bike him. I’ve had gaps where I wasn’t able to exercise him as normal, and in those cases we do short sniff walks where I don’t require him to be in his normal loose heel and let him take as long as he wants, wherever he wants (on public property).

There are so many chunky siberians with owners wondering why they’re so destructive or snippy. Case in point, they were one of the most rehomed/ abandoned dogs after Covid. I say this as someone who went into dog ownership very uneducated and inexperienced, I did not do adequate research. Even still, I had enough common sense to know that a dog that was bred for sledding probably needs high quality exercise. There have 100000% been difficult times, but 90% of those were just due to lack of knowledge and experience. That would have been the case with any dog - puppy blues, putting in the work to leash train, normal stuff.

I think it’s a shame that this breed is seen as difficult due to lazy owners. Divas? Yes. Intelligent as heck? Goes without saying. Sassy? Duh. Will I ever not have a Siberian? Not a chance. I know I’m biased, but siberians are just the best. They don’t deserve all the slander. Please enjoy my pretty lil man!! Also I don’t mean to be insensitive to anyone with mobility issues or insinuate that everyone should have access to a sled team - very aware of realistic limitations. I’m just sitting here staring at my baby with heart eyes and getting emotional lol

Edit because I’ve been watching training videos for a few hours lol: this post is not directed at anyone who has rescued a dog with behavioural issues or anyone with a dog that’s experience post incident reactivity. That’s a different ballgame that you can’t outrun with exercise (pun intended). Just run of the mill owners that don’t put the time or care into their companions.

My (27f) unpopular opinion

A lot of passive aggression does not come from people who have poor communication skills, but as the result of partners or loved ones who have low emotional intelligence.

I’m being a bit passive aggressive right now and thought to myself “this is unhelpful, be direct and communicative”. My second thought was “why? This is exhausting.” After so many instances of having clear, kind and honest communication about an issue, it feels so futile to bring it up again. I think that a lot of people who become passive started out as naively hopeful individuals who think that everyone cares as much as they do, only to be let down time after time. Personally I’m becoming heavy on the passive part, agression is not a natural state for me. It’s more of an external despondence and internal sense of futility.

TLDR while some people are passive aggressive because they can’t communicate, others are because they have done everything right communication-wise and get nowhere.

Low weight high rep throughout the day

I’ve taken six months off the gym for medical reasons but am well trained (~a decade of lifting) and am now starting a slow reentry. I wfh and just did a few sets of sldls while on a break. Curious if anyone has any anecdotes, experience or around low weight high rep movements spread throughout the day.

The idea of a full gym sesh is a bit overwhelming, so I’m going to begin doing a few sets every 90 minutes or so throughout the day (enough to fatigue the muscle but not enough to sweat). Realistically, if I could make gains doing this for the majority of my exercise with one day of heavy lifts per week, that would be ideal. I just don’t know if that’s doable. Intuitively I feel it should be, our ancestors have maintained healthy physiques with day to day labour, so I wonder if this might actually be sustainable.

Conveniently have found flea poop on my Siberian husky just before bed. Have vacuumed carpets a little bit will have to wait until morning to wash his bedding and couch covers. Tips to tide us over until Monday when the vet is opened? Am currently brushing him but at a bit of a loss.

Update: thinking it was a dead tick. He’s on medication so it didn’t cross my mind - initially was panicked that it was a tumour or something along those lines. Feeling very dumb. Have sanitized and checked his fur but 🤯🔫

I’m looking for tips or routine suggestions from anyone who’s seeing flexibility and glute progress.

I’m struggling to set a routine which balances my glute growth and flexibility goals.

My most recent routine was ~30 minutes mobility training daily (routine cycles between full body, lower, upper), 2 days glute focused lower body, 2 days core and arm focused Pilates, 2 days HIIT. Not a consecutive order, adequate rest between. 90-130g protein daily.

I’d been doing this for roughly a year, Ive taken six months off due to medication change, ready to get back!!

I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted last year. I’ve been doing yoga and lifting for ~10 years consistently. I have a good understanding of movement patterns, diet, etc. so don’t need help with that part. Would just love to know your routines and how long it took for you to see results!

The routine I’m starting up is the same as above. Specifics for glute days:

-5-10 min warm up mobility

-barbell hip thrust thrusts (one day heavy weights /lower reps, one day low weight/ higher rep) including one set KAS

-Single leg kettle bell hip thrust

- b stance rdl or Bulgarian ss

-cable kick backs or step up

My biggest mobility goal is a flatter back when folding. I’m not sure what’s causing rounding, my guess is right hamstrings.
