This game surprised me.

Hi all, I've been playing MMOs for YEARS and somehow avoided Guild Wars 2 completely. Asumed it was "too late" for me to jump in and give it a shot, but after the New World news and so many other great projects getting the plug pulled, I figured this is the time to give it a shot.

I assumed this was an outdated, dead-ish game. I was wrong.

This game is BEAUTIFUL in regards to the amount of content to do and the large-scale PvP is probably some of the best I've ever seen.

Created a quick video highlighting my experience as a first-time player in 2026, would love all of you vets' feedback and thoughts on some other things to try out in this game!

Goodbye New World - THANK YOU~!

New World was a special game and community, and it led me to kick-start a fun little YouTube channel which I've been having a blast with. I've met so many great people and made many friends throughout the journey in Aeternum

Here's to hoping one day we all find another home as good as this one!

Guild Wars 3 Overview: Our New New World?

HELLO AETERNUM!

Hope you guys are doing well. If you're like me, chances are you've been trying to scratch that New World itch the last few months and had no luck. Well, we MIGHT be in luck with the recent announcement of Guild Wars 3. I threw together a quick video below of what we know so far. Below are my primary questions/concerns so far, so if you have more answers please let me know!

1.) I PRAY that this isn't an "MMO Lite". Many recent releases support primarily solo play, or grouping up in as team of 4-6 for a small portion of instanced content, and little to no shared progress. I pray this is a TRUE MMO with an open, interactive world with players all around you.

2.) I LOVE that the game will support console, and I PRAY that they don't go crazy with controller support where PC gameplay feels awkward. I doubt they will, but it's a concern.

3.) It's CONFIRMED that some achievements (potentially skins?) carry over from GW2 to GW3. I hope they share more info about this soon so that we can grind out where needed ;)

Beta is planned for Fall 2027. Maybe I'll see you there?

New Pet System Overview

A closer look at what we know so far from the new pet system coming to Where Winds Meet. Video has more visuals, but here is a quick list.

- The system will launch with at least 7 pet options (4 cats, 3 geese)
- The system is similar to a "Tamagotchi" system, where we have to feed, bathe, and basically take care of our pet's health.
- You will be able to gain "Friendship levels" with your pets, which will unlock additional features like unique poses.
- Your pet will interact will NPCs, objects, the environment, and even act differently based on the weather.
