Hi all!
My girl is going on 18 years this fall. She has decided she likes sleeping in the backyard (on her dog bed) rather than her room in the garage. We built a temporary canopy to protect her from the sun but we will need something better once the rainstorms start.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
I painted mini barn quilts onto 6” square wooden tiles. I used Arteza paint pens and had a lot of fun playing around with the colors.
I tested out templates with my cricut and painters tape to get crisp lines. Eventually I decided to go slow, mark with a pencil and paint free-hand with the pens. I added a couple coats of Mod Podge to seal them.
Dusty and rusty! I’m going to clean it up and try to get it running.
It’s my second vintage Singer and I’m obsessed. I got a Featherweight in April.
My yard had lots of weeds and slopes. Now it’s flat and just dirt. Is it too late to plant wildflower seeds? I am thinking about adding some shade trees and shrubs this fall.
I made these blocks from scraps and didn’t want to overthink the layout. I am happy with the top but stuck on what to use for the backing. Any suggestions are welcome!

My guild had a few kits that were ready to sew. I decided to FMQ a larger meander pattern with my domestic machine.
This quilt is adapted from a free AGF pattern called Rainbow Glow. I used a fuzzy throw blanket and cotton quilt batting. I used a spray baste and didn’t have any problems with the fleece shifting. I quilted wavy lines with my domestic Juki. My daughter called dibs on it as soon as the top was pieced. She will have to share with the cats! 🌈
