Struggling with Geography Optional- Non-Geography background folks, how are you surviving Human Geo? (Looking for a small peer group)

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some guidance, resources, or a serious peer group for Geography Optional.

A bit about my situation: Finished my foundation classes and am currently working on PYQ frameworks and making crisp, Mains-oriented notes.
The issue is I don't have a background in Geography, and going through the grind alone is getting tough. Human Geography (Paper 1, Section B) in particular feels incredibly abstract and overwhelming to structure into concise notes.

To Veterans/Seniors- If you’ve cracked the Geo optional grind before, what is the best way to tackle Human Geo perspectives and models without getting lost in text?
Tips for other parts are also more than welcome.

To People who are in the same boat - I'd love to connect with you all to form a small, disciplined peer group (2-4 people max) for daily/weekly answer review, syllabus tracking, and keeping each other accountable.

Do Your X440 Just stops anywhere??

I have had serious bad experiences with my X440, among the first batches bought, among the first to encounter their engine issues, have visited the service center almost 15 times, 10 times for the same issue, yet it is unresolved.
It's lik moody, sometimes it just runs smoothly for 100kms and then it will just breakdown 15 times in 10 kms, have taken it to service centre multiple times, everytime they say the issue is resolved, but everytime the same story is repeated, I am so frustrated that I feel like I should burn it.
Help this frustrated Human.

I have tried their customer care have taken it to multiple service centres in different cities yet the story doesn't changes at all

Escaping the city chaos? Anyone up for a 4-5 month Himalayan study retreat for UPSC 2027?

Hey everyone,

I am targeting the 2027 attempt and looking to lay down a highly disciplined preparation over the next few months. Instead of grinding it out in the usual suffocating preparation in delhi or staying isolated at home, I'm thinking of a change of scenery to keep the mental health and focus intact.

Are there any serious 2027 aspirants who would be interested in escaping to a quiet Himalayan state (like Uttarakhand, Himachal, or North East even Kerala) for the next 4–5 months to prepare from there?

- A quiet, budget-friendly homestay or cottage with stable electricity and good Wi-Fi connectivity (crucial for online classes/materials).

- Pure, uninterrupted focus on core subjects, building basic NCERT/standard book foundations, and sorting out optionals.

- A small group of 2–4 like-minded, disciplined people to share logistics, split living expenses, and keep each other on track without toxic competition.

Or does this whole concept sounds too distracting?

Failed UPSC Prelims 2026 after prepping full-time since Jan 2025.

Hi Guys,

Male (29) here, with an MBA and 2 years of corporate work-ex. Left my job to prep full-time from Jan 2025 but unfortunately couldn't qualify Prelims 2026. My savings will completely wrap up by this December.

My current plan is to grind for Mains until December, land a corporate job, and then prepare for pre2027 alongside my job. I've been stuck in a totally confused state for the past 2 weeks trying to decide my next steps.

I hope to find some suggestions from experience aspirants who can give some advice as to how I can utilise my next 6 months in preparing for Mains 2027. Should I solely focus on test series or get enrolled in courses like AIM(NXT IAS) or Forrrum Mentorship or SEEvils Daily SMASH (Other suggestions are also welcome).

What do you guys suggest?
