How long does it usually take for them to let you try for another position?

I just started as a cart attendant a week~ish ago and it’s been kind of hell on earth (injury wise, otherwise the job isnt too bad) I’m wondering if anyone knows how long I should wait to see if I could switch to a different position.

Interviewing

Interviewed on august 2nd with the hiring manager, the hiring manager took 2 weeks to actually get around to scheduling the 2nd interview. During the 2nd interview the manager I met literally said and I quote “I recommended you, hope you get the job”. The second interview was last Thursday. Should I lose all hope at actually landing this job?

Pc won’t shut down unless I strangle it

So as the title says, I can’t shut my pc down unless I force the power to shut off (hold power button for 5-10 seconds).

It gets stuck on the “shutting down” screen every single damn time.

I’ve tried restarting instead, same thing, it gets stuck on the “restarting” screen.

I’ve looked in event viewer and only can find the 64 some odd critical errors IVE caused because I have to strangle the damn thing so it shuts off.

I have fast boot turned off both in bios and in windows.

I have turned off every startup app except the syshealthtray app.

And it still won’t fully shut off.

I have the latest windows 11 pro update, latest Nvidia update, and latest chipset drivers.

I can’t for the life of me update my bios because gigabyte is just the bane of my existence.

The times where it has fully shut down were
- 1 freak time I did a shutdown /s and it just worked

- if I hit the power button before unlocking my pc

- and if it counts, it will go to sleep if I press it

So I am just currently debating doing a clean windows install or just from now on have to strangle my pc to shut it off
