Need advices to choses between 2 monitors

Hi,

I currently posess a 2014 old monitor that is very bad in comparaison with what is made nowadays, for reference It's stuck at 60 Hz.

So I wanted to change that and I'm still a little hesitant between 2 monitors.

ACER Nitro ED340CURX0 and Gigabyte G34WQC

  • I checked caracteristics and saw that the Gigabyte is overall better than the Acer, but the Acer is at 220€ thanks to a discount.

  • Whereas the Gigabyte is at best at 272€ but on Amazon with a tier seller and mostly at 300€ on main sellers.

272€ with a tier seller

300€ on a more trusted source

My budget is max 300€

I'll make a huge jump in term of performance on regardless of the monitor I'll buy. I just wanted to see with, your knowledge about monitor, if the better caracteristics about the Gigabyte one are worth the 80€.

I'd be glad to have feedbacks of people using one of those monitors too :-)

Ty for your attention.

Help on a weather matter

Hi,

I have a big problem with the difficulty of this game. I can manage the races on dry road on expert difficulty. Most of the time it's very challenging for me but I win those races.

But on wet roads It's another story, even on average difficulty It's quite a challenge.
It's so strange to compete against Bots on rain because they drive like they are on dry roads. If I even try to take their trajectory at their speed I'm sent outside of the track and If I drive to keep myself from slipping I'm far more slower than them.

At this point, I don't know if the Bots are BS on rainy races (like they aren't concerned by the rain) or if I lack some key knowledge on how to drive in the rain. ( Btw can we talk about the unfair start lmao, It feels like his car is 1 category over me. )

Please if you have any advice, I'd be glad.

Thank you, cheers

Need help from Stellaris Vets on this Noob situation

Hey,

I played numerous games of Stellaris but I always put the difficulty to cadet/ensign because I have a problem with handling the diffculty system. It's either I wreck everyone and I'm god and there is no diff or the contrary, no inbetween.

So I tried to commit to the standard difficulty, Captain, and I struggled a lot to catch up with the most powerful AI Empires. At some point I kinda did, but a Fallen Empire awakened and I realized how far behind I was from the mili/eco/research I was supposed to be.

Nice Total War !

Near 4 millions fleet power near my capital, I have 600-700k at best

I tried to play with custom ships but I think It's too late for that

At this point I'm the stongest in the galaxy, but in 5-10 years my empire might be gone for good ( there's already a Gigantic fleet near my capital ).

Is this a normal situation and most importantly what should I do in this situation ? Because if the fallen empire attacks my most powerful colonies ( which he's going to do ) I can't maintain my miserable fleet.

I don't see how, with my current state I can compete agains't him, and I'm a militarist that wrecked multiple galactif conventions, so no allies x).

I'm seriously wondering if stellaris games are like a "dps check" like if you don't have enought stat midgame, you just give up and launch another.

I really tried to cheat the system with different fleets, doing guerrilla attacks in the back of their systems, but It's not working for the moment.

If you have game knowledge/advice to share to help me understand the game mechanics more and to crush those mfs, I'd be glad.

Ty, cheers !
