Thought my maths was better than this, explaining interest %age
EDIT: Thanks for feedback, appreciated :]
Hi,
fairly new to this so feel free to shoot me down in flames if need be :)
Trying to work out the percentage interest and my account summary says...
Account value: 3,584
Return since account opened: 311
Personal rate of return: 17.43%
I can't make the sums work
I've have initially invested 3,273.
Have tried doing all combinations of mathematical acrobatics I can think of and can't get the figures to end up with 17%...
Can anyone explain how to calculate this properly?
