New to HandBrake - Does This Encode Size Sound Right?

Hey guys, I just started using HandBrake, so I'm still figuring things out. I encoded a pretty grainy 1970s movie from a 1080p Blu-ray using the x265 10-bit preset (from the Matroska section), tune=grain, and CRF 22. The output file ends up being around 9 GB. Does that sound about right, or am I doing something wrong?

Can x265 Encodes Really Replace 4K Remuxes Without Losing Visual Quality?

Hey guys. I’ve always been a physical media collector, but lately I’ve been trying to move toward a more minimalist lifestyle. I already managed to switch all my CD and vinyl habits over to digital, even with my OCD tendencies, so that part is finally under control.

Movies, though, are still a struggle for me. I have a personal Blu-ray/UHD collection, and I make my own 4K remuxes from the discs using MakeMKV. The results look absolutely incredible on my 55" OLED, but the file sizes are getting out of hand and eating up a ton of HDD space.

What I really want to avoid is ending up buying a bunch of hard drives and basically replacing one physical collection with another kind of collection.

So I wanted to ask the people here who are more experienced with encodes: is it realistically possible to re-encode these remuxes with x265 and still preserve essentially the same viewing experience as the original remux? I know it won’t be technically lossless anymore, but I’m wondering how close it can actually get in real-world viewing.

Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you can share.

Best IEM Under $100 for Rock & Metal?

Hey guys.
I’m looking for an IEM under $100 that’s ideal for rock and metal. I listen to a lot of Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Metallica, and Yes. People recommended the Truthear Hexa/Pure to me, but some say they sound kind of boring.
I used to own the Zero Red, but I didn’t like the treble and thought the bass sounded a bit muddy, even without the 10-ohm adapter. What would be the sweet spot in this case? I like a more laid-back tuning, but without losing treble extension and bass impact.

Hey everyone,

I ran into a pretty interesting 'AI face-off' today and wanted to get your take on it.

I asked Google’s AI which amp would be the perfect match for my Hifiman Ananda Nano without going into 'overkill' territory. It recommended the FiiO BTR15, saying it's the sweet spot for synergy and power.

But then, I asked ChatGPT, and it totally disagreed. It claimed the BTR15 doesn't provide enough headroom and that the Nano is actually 'relatively hard to drive.' It told me I should just stick with my Topping DX3 Pro+ for better control and dynamics.

So, who do you think wins this one? Is the BTR15 enough to push the Nano to its full potential, or is ChatGPT right about needing the extra juice from a desktop amp?

Curious to hear what you guys think!

Fala pessoal. Com a mudança das regras, agora depois de gerada a DC-e a etiqueta de envio passou a aparecer com o mesmo QR Code ao lado. É a mesma informação que costa na DC-e de folha cheia? Preciso imprimir as duas folhas?
