Appreciation post
I bought one plus 15.
Years ago I had an iphone 7, then I moved to a huawei p30 pro! When I had that huawei it was a shocker. Fast forward about 2 years ago I got a iphone 15 pro max.. after about a year I decided to switch to s25 ultra! Then 5 months in I switched to s26 ultra.. no hate on ultras but they didn't Wow me. The battery was okay at best, my s26 liked to get a bit hot sometimes, and the screen made me have small headaches! So I switched to a 17 pm (current)
Then one plus was on my radar! For years I've wanted to try one plus but it was kinda hard having it in our local market! Until yesterday where I managed to snag a one plus 15 512g version for about 600$.
I have not had a phone since the huawei that gave me that wow factor! And this one gave me a very strong wow factor! Oxygen OS is CRAZY. The phone is so much thinner and lighter compared to my 17 pm!
I still have my 17 pm and I'm rocking a two phone situation right now. I appreciate both iOS and Android. Each has their pros and cons. I am not sure what I would like to keep (maybe even both).
The only downside of this phone ( not the camera) is the social media experience!
In fact this is an android issue in general ! Blame the developers not the phone though!!
For example: reels on my iphone show in a full screen format.. on the one plus and or the Samsung's, they always show with black bars! Or the new photo comments on insta! My s26 and the one plus refuse to show the pictures in the reels! Meanwhile my friend who has an A55 has the comment thingy working fine! But instead he doesn't have the hold to speed up the video?
This is just one of the examples where I can never be a full android user without having an iOS phone for stuff like that!
Other than that, great phone! The fingerprint sensor is crazy fast! Even the face unlock! I like to mess with the settings a lot and oxygen OS is a fresh and snappy experience especially when coming from oneui!
