Shunts
My angel is just 7 years old and has had a complete and sudden downturn where her body is shutting down likely to do a shunt that she was born with causing kidney and bladder stones and a small liver. I am devastated.
Do any other schanuzer owners have experiences with shunts? Apparently they are common for the breed but this is the first I’m hearing about it. If I can save anyone else this heartbreak I would - please ask your vet about shunts and whether a preventative ultrasound is worth it.
Sending so much love to my schanuzer community. She was the greatest gift of my entire life.
