I’ve noticed that a lot of spiritual or psychic people seem to lean heavily right wing , pro MAGA , or Reform for any UK readers , especially around immigration and culture war stuff. A lot of tarot channels do this too, although they’d never openly label themselves right wing, they frame it as being truth tellers or awake.

I’ve had to unfollow and unfriend a few people on Facebook because my feed was getting flooded with kind of shit. It confuses me because I always associated spirituality with compassion, empathy, openness, and questioning fear based narratives.

Is there something about spiritual communities that makes some people more susceptible to this kind of stuff ? Or is it just the same misinformation pipeline dressed up in spiritual language?
