Does anyone enjoy abridged audiobooks?

Just found out that Richard E Grant did an abridged version of Pillars of the earth...it's only 10 hours long. The full version, which I've just finished for the nth time is a lovely 40hrs, and I'd happily listen to 40 more.

I get that some people don't like super long books but I don't get how you can get the full experience of a novel that is missing 3/4s if it's content.

Norfolk Cricket Club

Has anyone been to watch NCCC? I've been an increasingly enthusiastic armchair cricket fan over the past few years, but no one in my social circle shares my interest!

Has anyone been to watch Norfolk, feel it would be a good way to meet others but I can't seem to find any info about tickets.

Is ITVx terrible on purpose? Other things being made deliberately crap.

Feels like this comes around every time there is an international tournament, from people who (like me) don't use it that often, but ITV X is honestly dogshite. Like it lacks basic functionality which a company like Itv could clearly implement if they wanted too.

I'm watching a lot of the world cup games on delay as I've got a newborn, you can't move backwards on a live stream and when you pause it and press play again you just skip back to life. What are ITV trying to achieve here, it seems to be purposely engineered in this way.

Got me thinking about other things that are clearly made worse than they could otherwise be. Anyone got any suggestions?

NHS right to choose advice

Sorry if this is a common request. For context I was told by a Dr that I have suspected ADHD (m31) whilst at an appointment for something different. Having never previously considered this I was very taken back but after looking into it, it certainly seems to explain a lot of my struggles.

I was hoping for some advice on NHS right to chose providers. I feel quite skeptical about some of the providers offering very short turnarounds, Im not dying for a diagnosis tomorrow and would like to know that everything has been done thoroughly and professionally. I also would like to go with a provider with an established relationship with the NHS if possible.

I'm based in the East of England.

What are people's experiences and recommendations?
