"Sister" depressed from losing "brother." Seeking advice
Hey all. I'll try to keep a long story short. I got my black lab, Tank, weeks within buying my new home. I was 23 and he was roughly 2 when I adopted him. I then met my now wife. We adopted a very young pug/Boston mix, Maiya, and from then on, she was glued to him. She admired him and looked up to him in so many ways. Getting to the point now, we unfortunately had to put him down this last April 22nd. He had made it 14 years of bringing us joy and love. His biggest admirer, Maiya, has not been the same since. She's inattentive, overly tired, and just doesn't have the shine she has expressed excessively before. I know she's down, I can see it. Looking for advice on what we can maybe do to try to help her along and bring more joy to her days. We appreciate any input at this time. It's heartbreaking to see 💔
