Please help me

So here is the deal. Me and this girl used to go to the same school up until high school, when I left public school. I always liked her but never really acted on it. Now I’m a sophomore. As I was walking home one day, I saw her walking with a friend. We made eye contact and smiled, but I neglected to say hi. Thinking I had nothing to lose, I followed her on instagram, and she followed me back. The next morning, I sent an apology for not saying hello and she responded and we had a nice talk. Fast forward a couple of ideas I said screw it again and added her on snap. She snapped me a picture of her first and we’ve had one conversation since, on top of daily snap pictures. What does this all mean and what should I do? I think I really like her but I’m not sure how to act upon it because we haven’t even really talked in person.
