Progression Paramotor in Utah.

Been saving up money for a while to get into Paramotoring. Litterally have not been able to stop thinking about it for the past year or two. Now that I have the money I have been looking into schools near me.

I am wondering if anyone has heard of Progression Paramotor located in northern Utah. They have a couple of reviews on google which are all positive but I just want to check in and see if anyone else has had an experience with them and if they would recomend training with them.

Otherwise if you have any other recomendations for schools or trainers in the southern idaho area I would much appreciate it.

Would you rather have a man give you his phone number or ask for yours?

If someone were to respectfully approach you and start of a conversation would you rather him ask for your number at the end of it or would you rather him write his down and just say something along the lines of "I would like to get to know you better so here is my number. I hope you reach out but I will leave that choice up to you. No hard feelings either way."

Got stuck having to listen to coworkers talking about how sucessful their dating life has been.

I am a 19 year old guy. I know I am pretty young to be considered forever alone but maybe someone here can atleast relate. For context part of my work is driving to and from a location with my co-workers. Somehow the topic of dating came up and I was basically stuck in a van with a bunch of people who were all talking about how sucessful they have been at dating in the past, how they are already thinking of getting married in a year or two. how they have loving partners, and how they dont know what they would do if they were stuck being single.

Meanwhile I am sitting in the back of this van silent as shit and just thinking of how I cannot recall a single time where someone has seemed romantically interested in me.

Would dropping out of college hurt my chances in backgrounds.

Currently going to community college just for some general ed. Right now it does not make sense for me to continue simply because currently with my career goals it is kinda just burning money. It may also be worth noting that I have a couple of bad grades / withdrawls due to taking a couple of math courses which were above my abilities.

I know it probably wont look great on backgrounds and its not something to be proud of. However, would it be an auto DQ or should I just stay in community college for another year, pay the extra 8k and then get out with my associates.

How to handle negative feedback from customers.

Forgive me as I just needed to share this somewhere.

Logically, I know I probably shouldn't care and should just move on. However, it's hard not to take it personally because I take a lot of pride in my job. I love my management, my coworkers, and I do everything I can to give people a great experience.

This is my first job, I work as a whitewater rafting guide which is a super dynamic job where things are constantly changing last minute. The Fourth of July was somewhat busy, and I think a lot of people don't realize that the hardest part of the job is often the logistics. With groups of 35+ people, there are countless things that can throw the schedule off.

Today, we were delayed by another group launching ahead of us and by a couple of guests who never showed up or answered their phones. We also only had one shuttle van available at the end of the trip, which meant some people had to wait a little longer than usual (about an extra 20-30 minutes) as we had to run two shuttle trips.

Despite the hiccups, almost everyone seemed to have a great time while on the river. However, due to the logistical delays a couple of people left negative reviews. it just stings seeing bad reviews written about you and your co-workers, especially when they're pretty much the only bad reviews the company has ever received. I already put a lot of pressure on myself to do a good job and make a good impression, so being told I was not doing a good job is stressful as I dont want to dissapoint management or the other guides who were not working with me that day.

Made a mistake during guide training and honestly feeling terrible.

Sorry if this is not the place but I just genuinely feel bad about the situation. This Is my first season and i have only had about 5 laps under my belt for a more tame stretch of river.

today they put us on a new stretch and while guiding I made a really bad judgement and landed our boat in a hole which could have honestly resulted in a fatality.

this was a result of underestimating the currents and the ability to get out of the current in time to avoid the hole.

Luckily everyone Was ok but I feel sick to my stomach with guilt and regret. I think it was just a mix of low experience and bad decision making which led up to this.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. If anyone has any recommendations that would be appreciated. Otherwise just stay. This was for sure a learning experience and a mistake I won’t make again. I just hope it does not effect my future as a guide.

Would having no credit history be a bad look in the background investigation. I simply have never needed to borrow money or open a credit card. I have never been in debt, applied for loans, purchased a vehicle on credit, ect. Whenever I look up my credit report it just says that I dont have one.

I am just wondering if departments would see this as a red flag.

I just got a question because I have noticed that there is 2 very different ways I see cops do high risk stops. Typically they stand in the door jams of their vehicles and give commands. However, I have seen some departments actually stand a couple feet behind the vehicle and use the C or D pillar as concealment.

I am just wondering what are the pros and cons for each and why they differ? Also which method does your department use?
