Best guest stars? Besides the obvious Peter Boyle

Because after years, I finally made it to season 8. 7 slowed me down.. anyway, Joe Morton in 8:6 Redrum. He was fantastic, and it just occurred to me he was actually the lead in his one episode, which is very unusual. Hell Scully was barely even in it, but I thought Joe Morton carried the episode exceptionally well.

Oh and Giovanni Ribisi. He was a star as always.

Jeff Kober is an Emmy Nominee Now!

This is Kralik from season 3 and Rack from season 6 btw, hence the Buffy relevance.

I just think it's really cool, because this guy has been sort of a bit-part tv actor for years, showing up in all these really interesting, often under-utilised roles. And now he's finally getting some big recognition.

Aside from Buffy he was in an episode of The X-Files, Charmed, Star Trek: Voyager, ER, 24, he had a bit on The Walking Dead. I've seen him in some movies as well like The Hills Have Eyes II.

AND he was the guy in this iconic Bacardi advert that I remember seeing as a kid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M31GgHBFlw

Really cool to see him get major award recognition.

So Alan spent the rest of this show with a turd pellet in his pants...

He gets hypnotised to be an owl and squeeze out a "little pellet" and then be pleased with himself. I just find it hilarious that he spent the rest of this show with shit in his pants, and apparently didn't notice lol!

If only someone would look at Sophie whenever she's watching other people talk

I really want someone to notice that she's hella' weird. All it'd take is for one person to look at her while she's observing any other person in an interaction that does not involve her lol!

Does anyone else find just the look on his face in this moment to be one of the funniest moments of Knowing Me Knowing You?

It's such a brief moment, but they cut to him watching like this a few times and I just find it hilarious. He looks like a confused and frightened child lol! So much good shit in Knowing Me Knowing You but this little moment is one of my favourites still.

I've got cheese! This is cheese!

What??? I don't even know. It's nonsense but hilarious... but the random nonsensicalness of it is what makes it so hilarious.

This scene is the one that really sticks with me above all others. It's not even clever humour it's just nonsense... why does he just run through the restaurant with a wheel of cheese shouting "I've got cheese! This is cheese!" what the fuck even is that??? But that's what makes it so hilarious to me.

I'm actually quite annoyed that there's much more intelligent humour in this thing, but THIS is the one that sticks in my mind. Although speaking of being annoyed, I also love when he speaks to a hypothetical whoever the fuck neighbour in the car with Lynn and then says "Come on Lynn, these people are starting to annoy me" about hypothetical people he was having an imaginary conversation with! Amazing!!

Finally started watching this, after all these years!

Been meaning to watch it for years, I'm Alan Partridge that is. (Realised there was one before that which was him on his talk show, didn't even know about that)

It's hilarious... very weird though... in the sense that the episodes feel a bit directionless, random. Like he's just going to random places getting into stupid, pointless shenanigans and trailing off into mega weird stupid diatribes. All hilarious, but weird.

Anyway, the first season being set in the hotel he was living in was cool. I liked the setting and the characters who worked there. That receptionist girl who worked there who was always laughing at Alan... I really liked her. Does she ever show up in any of the other series or films or whatever? Or is she just in those six episodes? Would've loved her character to be in it more but doesn't look like she is.

EDIT Just now realised I accidentally gave the impression I've only seen season 1. I have just finished 2, preferred 1 but still loved 2. When I said started watching it, I meant started watching the whole complete series of shows and movies. So I've watched I'm Alan Partridge, but none of the others yet.

Chat GPT keeps insisting that Dampe never died, is never seen as a ghost, and that the race to get the hookshot happens as child Link...

Please help me out here. Is Chat GPT wrong? Because... basically I was just asking it various things about Zelda lore, then when it came to Dampe I've just got in a massive argument with Chat GPT where I'm swearing at the cocky little... so and so, telling it it's categorically wrong etc. and it keeps insisting the following

  • Dampe's death is never confirmed
  • We never see Dampe as a ghost
  • He has no halo
  • When Link races Dampe to get the hookshot, he does so as a child and it's just Dampe NOT ghost Dampe

And then I'm saying to it "No, I watched my brother play it on N64 IN 1997! I played it in the '90s, AND I'VE JUST WATCHED A GUY PLAY IT ON YOUTUBE!!!"

And GPT says no that's mods, in the original game Dampe race happens as a kid.

I'm going insane here, GPT bloody gaslighting me please tell me GPT is an idiot and is wrong? Or have I ACTUALLY got this mixed up and the YouTube guy is genuinely playing a modded version?
