AM obsessed with the whitest foundation possible

My AM always buys herself the most white and pale foundation she can find but she herself is not pale. It’s kinda sad because it is so clearly not her color. She buys makeup for me and my sister without us asking or wanting it and it’s always the lightest shade of any brand even though we are several shades darker than her. I don’t think she’s ever shade matched she just marches up to the sephora or macys counter and buys whatever looks the lightest. When she puts it on she looks kinda ridiculous like it looks like a ton of powder just sitting on her skin and looks gray and clownish.

It’s like AMs like this don’t care about looking good at all they just want to look as pale as they can get. It’s like a flex to them, even if their face doesn’t match their neck and hands and they look super cakey and blotchy they are happy as long as they look paper white.

Where is the best place to go swimming in/near Nice?

I have only been to the beach alongside the promenade/different quais in Nice and villefranche sur mer, i enjoyed both especially villefranche but now that it is touristy season now it is a hassle to go anywhere. everytime we go to the beach there we can’t find a place no matter what time it is because its so crowded. Also it is often a bit dirty because so many people have been there. Does anyone have a suggestion of where else to go that might be less crowded and more agréable during the touristy season?

Why is a second added bag with Airfrance so much more expensive than the first?

I’m flying international with airfrance and have one checked bag and one carryon. I wanted to add 2 more checked bags (so 3 suitcases total plus the carryon) since I am moving. I have never added more than one before, but it seems quite expensive for the second. on the app if I try to add it it puts the first is 85€ (expected) but once I try a second one it jumps to 325€.

I’m not sure why the second is more than 200€ but I guess it’s to discourage people from trying to add too much or to rake in more profits?

Does anyone know if these charges are typical for economy? Is there any way around it?

somehow her handwriting looks exactly how I thought it would

Idk how to describe it but it looks just like the forced “quirky” handwriting that people did in middle school with the crooked barely readable letters and especially the way she writes the “a” and the “y” makes it look so awkward. they probably think it’s super adorable and unique but it’s just illegible. It was nice of her to write this letter but her handwriting itself bugs me and for some reason looks exactly how I would imagine she’d write lol

do people use meetup apps in nice?

Hello,
I moved here recently and am wondering if people here use apps to make new friends or build a social group, like Meetup, bumble bff, or others? Which ones are the most common? And if you also aren’t from here how did you meet your current friends/social circle?

Is tụi nó only used for children and animals?

I’m relearning vietnamese and ive heard people using the pronoun tụi nó and chúng nó, i know it basically means “them” but i cant tell for which context. ive only heard it used mainly in reference to animals (like my cousin pointed out a pair of dogs walking by with jackets and said “oh tụi nó xinh quá heng!”) it sounded very positive but it made me realize I’ve never heard this phrase used for adults or anyone that’s not a child. Most of the time I’ve heard it used on really small kids or pets.

I’ve never heard this being used to refer to other people/adults. Would you say there is a derogatory undertone or any negative connotation to this phrase?

Unshakeable weight gain, what to do?

So I’ve had bloating and weight gain for years and finally got diagnosed last year. since then I’ve cycled through multiple protocols for hydrogen sibo (last time had a really high test of around 200ppm…) doc doesn’t rly know what to do, I did do flagyl and probiotics my last treatment but it hasn’t helped much with the lower belly bloating and severe weight gain. I constantly look 8 months pregnant if not more and gradually gained 30-40 lbs seemingly overnight that I can’t shed. I’m not sure what caused it bc I have been eating less and just generally have a lower appetite due to the fullness and discomfort most days.

Does anyone else have hydrogen sibo and gained weight instead of lose like most people with this type? What did you do to get back to a healthy weight?
