Oklahoma City area Pen Club Meets 8/21

Pens & Planners ✒️📓

What happens when fountain pens meet planning, journaling, and a little creative chaos? That’s what we’re talking about at this month’s OKC Pen Club!

We’ll be talking about all things Pens & Planners, including:

• Bullet journaling
• Creative planning & journaling
• Creating your own pen & ink journal
• Junk journaling
• Fountain-pen-friendly paper and planner options
• And all the ways fountain pens can fit into your planning and journaling life

Have a favorite planner? A half-finished journal? A stack of notebooks you definitely needed? Bring it! 😂

And if planning and journaling aren’t your thing, that’s perfectly fine too. Bring your pens and ink, come hang out, and enjoy some fellow pen people. No experience required and no particular project necessary.

📅 Friday, August 21
🕡 6:30 PM
📍 Paper Arts
1361 Fretz Dr, Edmond, OK

Come talk pens, play with ink, share ideas, and maybe leave with a few new things to try! 💜💚✒️

(WTB - US CONUS) Pilot 742 nib unit

This is probably a long shot but looking for a Pilot nib unit for a 742. Got a 742 body a few weeks ago here and thought I had a nib lined up but that fell through.. prefer medium or specialty but open to other grinds. On the other hand, if you’re into the market for a 742 body- I may be open to that as well! Thanks have a pentastic weekend!

The Wet Pen order arrives!

Thankfully it arrived unscathed by the mail. The packaging and bottles were packed up tight. I swear their labels are some of the hardest to open up the box. But love the shading in the new and new to me inks! Paper is made by LIFE. The heading is from their ink #12. Yay new ink day!

OKC Pen Club 7/17

OKC Pen Club July 17 @ 630pm: Paper Arts in Edmond, OK

All About Nibs

Join us this month as we explore one of the most important parts of any fountain pen—the nib!

We’ll be comparing different nib brands, sizes, materials, and specialty grinds, and discussing how each affects the writing experience. Whether you’re curious about the difference between a Japanese Fine and a German Fine, wondering if a gold nib is worth it, or interested in trying an architect or stub grind, this meeting is for you.

We’ll also have a wide variety of pens available for everyone to test, so you can experience different nibs side by side. Just bring a notebook with your favorite fountain pen-friendly paper so you can compare each nib on paper you know well.

Whether you’re brand new to fountain pens or a seasoned collector, come experiment, ask questions, and maybe discover your next favorite nib!

Anyone ever regret getting rid of an ink or pen early on and then wish you had it again?

For me, I did not like Pelikan Edelstein Golden Beryl- it did not work well in the pens I tried it with so I gave up and sold it a couple years ago. I kept a sample that I recently found and inked in a pen and of course it’s working beautifully! Ink regrets for sure.

NPD- Leonardo Poliedrica Desiderio

I’m so behind on my new pen/ink days since the holidays following a big move. I’ve gotten quite a few pens in the last few months that I need to do an eventual state of collection six month update.. but oh my gosh- just got my first Leonardo x Stilo & Stile Poliedrica Desiderio.. and I had to post it! Nib is broad- the better to grind it later and I have it inked with KWZ Stardust Blue. Great service from Stilo & Stile… I can’t believe my second Leonardo is on its way for Rule 5 collab…eeek

[WTB] Diamine x cult pens iridescent Philip

So as soon as I place an order with a group, Phillip got restocked. I can’t yet justify the tariffs and shipping for one bottle of ink- so I figured I’d try here first…. Maybe someone has Philip and is ready to part with it? Respond on here and then message me! I’m in CONUS. Thanks!
