Just bought a Kenmore 158.40000. Any advice for me?

It was $100. It came with the bobbin, one foot, and the table. Cord looks good and I saw it run for a minute. It looks like it was untouched. Almost like someone bought it, maybe used it once or twice and then closed it up. You can’t tell but it’s a mint green color.

That said, it does not have anything else. No manual, additional foot, or accessories.

Anything I should search for? Anything to keep in mind or buy? Mechanical issues to look out for.

I ordered some sewing machine oil. I have some experience, but not much and zero with a vintage machine.

Starting meds for first time on vacation

Should I wait to start until I’m there or even when I’m back?

I had my first follow up appointment with my doctor yesterday. I also happen to be leaving for a 3 week trip tomorrow. I picked up my first prescription for hydroxychloroquine today.

What can I expect? I’m nervous to be starting literally the day I’m jumping on a plane for a 5+ hour flight.

What steps can I take now that will help me quickly move to biologics?

Anything I can and should do now to set myself up to successfully get access to biologics? I’m an highly active person and from what I’ve been reading, my high anti CCP could mean more aggressive erosion.

Context:

Recently diagnosed. Not yet on medication but will be prescribed something next week at my first follow up after labs. High RF: 50 and Anti CCP at 250+.

Pain started suddenly early April and feels like it came out of nowhere. I have ongoing migrating flares. Each one limits functionality significantly and lasts 3-7 days before moving to a new location in my body. Sometimes I can’t drive or even hold anything heavier than my reading glasses.

I got laid off awhile back and am looking for work. I have Ambetter insurance that a bought through marketplace.

Building two restaurants within Ross’s Landing will be a permanent loss of our public green space.

How much of our public green space will we permanently lose to two private commercial developments?

Why are Kelly and Wamp so aggressively selling off our public space to private industry?

For me this sets a dangerous precedent of commercial development in our public parks.

Why not just allow permits to let a rotation of food trucks have a space there?

“Plans include two new restaurants, sports courts, public art, public restroomsu, spaces for food-and-beverage kiosks, and an improved pier and infrastructure to support waterfront recreation and programming…A public fundraising campaign is being led by former U.S. Sen. and Chattanooga Mayor Bob Corker, Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly, Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp, and Ward Davenport.”

Did anyone in Chattanooga actually ask for this and claim it is a priority? I genuinely doubt it.

Has anyone explored EPB’s Time-of-day rate vs standard rate? Looking to lower monthly cost.

I’m doing some initial research into if there is a financial benefit to moving to the time-of-day rate and I’d love to hear if anyone else looked into this and read their experience.

Did it make sense for your family? Lower your bill? Lifestyle change challenges? Any reason you look into it and decided not to go for it?

Thanks for any advice!

Can someone explain:

  • What length PVC I should cut to go between these fittings?
  • I'd also like to understand why the length I left is not enough?

This is not yet glued. They can still come apart.

TLDR:
I'm plumbing a stock tank pool and hot tub. I've never done plumbing before and this is a project where I'm excited to learn a little about it. The goals is to have a drain, tank, and pump intake ball valve so I can isolate, drain, or repair as needed. I've included a diagram as the second image. Someone said the pvc I cut was not leaving enough space between the fittings to cut if I need to in the future. I'd like to understand how long the PVC needs to be and why the space I have is not enough for future repairs (just to be informed).

Post Script:
Second image is a schematic I made in my design software to wrap my head around things and help create a shopping list. Feel free to drag me–but I'm highly visual and this is the only way I could start to understand what I'm doing. I realize it might not be correct, so feedback welcome. I put the disclosure because I'm afraid some poor soul will think I know what I am doing.

I'm spiraling a bit. I've made an appointment with my doctor, but it is not until Monday.

Starting Easter day I have been having joint pain jump from joint-to-joint all over my body–it never lasts in one spot for much more than 48 hours. Sometimes it recovers in thst spot in less than 24 hours, but then shows up in another. I've never had this issue before.

It started in my left hand on Easter. It hurt so bad I could not wash a dish or open a door - I thought it was an injury that I didn't realize had happened. I was wrong.
Then it was in my left foot–I could barely walk.
Then in my right shoulder–I thought I tore my rotator cuff and was wearing a sling.
Then the next day my right hand was in such pain I could not open a can of soda water.
Today my left wrist started off in intense pain, but by now at the end of the day it has almost entirely recovered.

It jumps from place to place without any order. I'm scared what pain I wil have tomorrow.

I'm on low dose testosterone and progesterone and have been on them for about a year. 44yo. No kids. No history of immune disorders in my family. It seems worse around my period, after having a glass of wine, or eating ANY sugar. I can't even garden!

Could HRT be causing this? I'm terrified it triggered some kind of Palindromic Arthritis.

I'm new to HRT and Peri so can someone walk me off this cliff?!
