I’ve been really excited to try the new EAE reverb, the hypersleep v2 is one of my favorites and I’ve been very curious to see how close the digital version can get. It is basically a hypersleep on steroids, can nearly mimic the original one, but it has presets, stereo in/out, and does a really cool delay sound as well. Absolutely worth checking out if you’ve ever been hypersleep curious. Also, everyone should check out the BSRI Radical Conversion, it’s extremely versatile for a high gain pedal. It’s been my most used dirt pedal since picking it up a couple months back. Feel free to ask me any questions about the pedals on my board!

The timeline MX fit my needs much better than the Big time, but they are both phenomenal units in their own right. This is my current ampless setup. Everything except for the acv Nos’s, timeline and cxm goes into the peace hill fx sss preamp which functions as my amp, and the kma endgame functions as my stereo cab ir/ power amp. Chorus, delay and reverb are in the stereo loop. It’s my ideal setup for a great sounding rig without needing to crank an amp when the kiddo is asleep. Feel free to ask me anything about any of the pedals currently on my board!

This is a pulse width modulation fuzz made between 2008-2011, and it’s one of the most unique fuzzes I’ve ever played. I don’t know how many are out there, but this one is the second I’ve ever seen. It’s a synthy Velcro sounding fuzz that easily get unruly but has tons of usable sounds before it gets there.

Distortion is my favorite guitar effect. It’s used in nearly every genre, and the tonal variety that you can achieve is absolutely massive, especially with how many options there are on the market these days. But It’s also the hardest effect to get right in terms of nailing the sounds in my head. It’s an effect that I know pretty quickly whether or not it’ll work for me when I’m trying a new one, and I love finding new distortion offerings that just click for me. Before I tried the massenpanik, my two favorites that I have tried yet were the Non Human Audio Robins because the gain is that exact high gain sound I’ve always been looking for, and the Electronic Audio Experiments Longsword, because of its extreme eq/ mid shaping ability. I always wished I could dial in the distortion characteristics of the robins with the eq abilities of the longsword.
The Audio Surplus Effects Massenpanik is a highly adjustable distortion pedal that takes the cascading op-amp gain section from the venerable Providence Stampede (as used by Converge, Amenra et al) and pairs it with a powerful 5 band graphic EQ for ultimate tone sculpting capabilities. After plugging this in for a few mins I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Before someone mentioned them to me a couple weeks back, I’d never heard of them. But I love the sound of the Providence so I knew I’d probably like it. I didn’t think that it would be my new favorite high gain distortion, and I really hope they release more soon. It has the best parts of my two favorite distortion pedals I’ve tried yet in one box

Been wanting to try one of these for a long time, board has never felt more complete

I’ve never spent more time dialing in a dirt pedal than I have with this thing today. Not because it’s hard to find good sounds, but because every single switch and knob you touch makes the entire thing interact completely differently. It’s unlike any other dirt pedal I’ve tried before. It gets sputtery, glitchy, Velcro-y, and any other fuzz adjective you can think of. Also does really really well at modern metal distortion stuff which I wasn't expecting. It is absolutely one of the most interesting and awesome sounding gain pedals I have ever tried.

Only had an hour or so to play with it so far, but it’s as awesome as everyone would anticipate. So far I’ve only ran it in my stereo loop, but I’ll have to give it a try in front of an amp soon. It does regular delay stuff well, but the delay-verby stuff is fantastic. Fits on the board very well
