Assuming this to be an Afghan Baluch but unsure of its age and which design elements it’s incorporating. Selvage has a mix of goat hair and wool and a wool foundation. Periwinkle pile is raised above other colors. Are these beetles throughout?
I’m assuming this is an Afghan Baluch rug (4x7), but it seems unusual to me in color palette and design. The periwinkle pile sticks out from the rest of the rug and seems to be of very different softness/texture. Likely age for this rug? And are these beetles/scarabs throughout?
Sold to me as a Baluch rug (4x7). Claims to be vegetable dyed, but it looks synthetic to me. The green palette and bold cross seems unusual to me. There is also what appears to be writing on it as well.

First rug that I ever bought - unfortunately used it for an entryway so it’s seen some boot heels. Thought it was Caucasian with Lesghi star pattern but maybe Baluch incorporating those elements?
