Behind her eyes - what an amazing twist but there's more

I recently binged Behind Her Eyes and I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. Everyone talks about the twist but I feel like the deeper stuff is just sitting there unnoticed.

  1. What if Rob had done this before Adele? He was too good at manipulation, too patient, too calculated for this to be his first time. We only see his story from Adele's perspective but what if there was someone before her that we never find out about?
  2. What if Rob isn't even Rob? What if that body was already swapped before we met him, and the soul we're actually following is someone else entirely, just jumping from body to body, and we never find out who that original person even was?
  3. Rob was in Adele's body for years before the show even starts. Which means every interaction David had with "Adele" during their marriage - every fight, every breakdown, every tender moment, was Rob. David fell back in love with Rob without ever knowing it. So unsettling if I think about it.
  4. Louise didn't stand a chance from the first scene. Rob in Adele's body chose her deliberately, single mum, lonely, a little lost, desperate for female friendship. The whole "enemies to friends" arc was a calculated setup. There was no version of this where Louise survives.
  5. The little boy at the end calling Rob "mum" is the most disturbing part of the whole show and nobody talks about it enough. That child is going to grow up with Rob. Rob is going to raise him. What does that child's life actually look like?

What else am I missing? And which one of these is living in your head the most? Also, wondering if they have announced a season 2 or something.

What is one theory/observation about Obsession movie that needs more attention?

Been down a rabbit hole since watching this film and honestly the online discourse is all circling the same few theories/observations.

  1. Sandy (the cat) possessing Nikki
  2. "Bear," the name is deliberate for man vs bear debate
  3. Wish getting twisted if you ask for something impossible (& hence mixed review of one wish willow)
  4. Sandy's death foreshadows Bear's fate (same pattern of dying by pills)
What else am I missing? And which one should be discussed more?
