I (22M) my ex-bf (22M) are no contact after 2 year relationship. One of his mutuals requested to follow me, and now my ex blocked me.

TLDR: Got a follow request, but it disappeared. I requested to follow. They declined my request. I saw my ex blocked me right after this time. My ex and this person are mutuals. Concerned my ex thinks I was creeping on him, hence why he blocked me. I am not going to text my ex because I am respecting our no-contact, but my ex probably thinks I was creeping and I wasn’t. What do I do?

So a few weeks ago, I got a follow request on Instagram. I got the notification, clicked on it, but then the request disappeared. I was confused, so I searched the person and requested to follow the person. I noticed today that the person declined my follow request. I also noticed that my ex blocked me on Instagram.

My ex and I are no contact and he had removed me from being one of his followers and unfollowed me. But after I requested to follow this person my ex completely blocked me on Instagram. I wasn’t checking, but I noticed because I have my ex tagged in one of my Instagram post and I was trying to figure out how to remove the pictures of him in the post without deleting the entire post. And that’s why I noticed that he was no longer tagged in the photo and his comment was no longer there. But our past direct message conversation still shows that he has an account so I know he has an account. I’m just blocked.

For context, my ex and I broke up about two months ago. And have been no contact for most of it. We were together for over two years. The breakup started mutual, but he ultimately decided to go to no contact after some time.

I’m just very concerned because this individual is mutuals with my ex. There is a high probability that this person and my ex are talking as more than friends. And this person may have told my ex that I requested to follow him. So I’m worried my ex blocked me because he thought I was creeping on them. Which I wasn’t. I was just confused why this one person requested to follow me which is why I requested to follow this person and at the time I didn’t realize my ex and this person were mutuals.

I am not going to reach out to my ex clarifying the situation to respect our no contact. But I also don’t want my ex to think I’m stalking him. What do I do?

I miss it so much.

TLDR: Started a job outside of higher ed 2.5 months ago, but miss working in student affairs so much. My current job is good, but I can't stop thinking about going back to student affairs. Feel conflicted and would like any advice.

Hey all, I hope this doesn't violate rule #4 (vague posts), because I am not completely sure why I am sharing this. I think it might be because I do not know who else to share it with? Maybe for advice? So here is what's going on....

In March, I was rejected from a GA position in res life. I was highly sought after but was not chosen because they believed the position would stunt my growth. I was an internal candidate, so maybe they heard I was a few rounds deep for full-time res life roles elsewhere.

Few days after the rejection from the GA role, I withdrew all my student affairs applications and accepted a full-time job in another field. I wasn't acting in the heat of the moment, I just truly thought I needed a break from student affairs.

Fast forward, I have started my new job about 2.5 months ago, and I enjoy it! Amazing people, work is enjoyable, great work-life balance, etc. (side note: the work-life balance is almost too good LOL....in addition to pursing my master's part-time, I added on another part-time job because I feel like I have too much time on my hands)

So, the reason for posting. I miss working in student affairs. I know missing something is normal, and will happen throughout life, especially professionally, but this feels different. When I wake up in the morning and go to my admittedly awesome job, the thought about wanting to be working in student affairs pesters me. I do my job well, and get the work done, but I don't have the passion to go above and beyond like I did with student affairs. I have only been in my job for a couple months, and it is a great job....but I want to be back in student affairs.

What do I do?

Just started a new job; (Potential) unexpected opportunity

*Posting in Student Affairs because it is a student affairs related role and seeking perspectives from Student Affairs people.

A month ago, I began a non-higher ed/ non-student affairs job that I really enjoy. The location, people, and work are all amazing. Without looking for anything, I stumbled upon a job posting at a small school near me. It is a somewhat high-level role, but the minimum requirements were pretty low. I figured it was because the workload is pretty high, low pay, and it is a very small school. I met all the listed qualifications. I knew it would be a stretch as a new grad, but I submitted an application for the heck of it. I didn’t think anything would come of it, but I ended up getting an interview. I understand that the workplace here might be toxic, with an extremely heavy workload with disproportionate pay. BUT, I feel like it is a rare opportunity and would be a HUGE learning opportunity regardless. If I got offered the job, do you think it would be dumb for me to take it/ too risky since I already have a job that I really like and just started?

Can taking classes be a healthy hobby?

I am 22M, recently graduated with my B.S. and will be pursing an online M.P.H. part-time. I am also working full-time, but my job provides very good work-life balance.

I realized I need to start finding myself an identity, because during college, being involved in college and gaining experiences through work/internships became my identity. When my involvement began to wind down, my partner and I noticed that I no longer would hang out with my own friends or do my own hobbies. We realized I need to figure out some avenues that I can express my creativity.

Anyway, I had this thought...if I love diving into and learning new things, appreciate having knowledge in many different arenas, and enjoy school....can it just be my really expensive hobby to go to school? Can taking college classes be a healthy hobby? Or is that an unhealthy way to approach it.
