Hi! Unfamiliar with the subreddit or musical bootlegs in general, so please forgive me if I’m doing something wrong. I know the Bridge Theatre Into The Woods bootleg went off NFT on the 15th, and I’m on a personal mission to get my family to like Into The Woods. I saw this production while it was still running and am looking to get a copy to show them, so any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Wow, this film is even more insane than I remember, and I’ve seen it multiple times! It has no chill and is just a ton of fun. I watched the dub and the quality of the voice acting was great. Again, I had watched Ponyo with the dub, but on the big screen, it really stood out. The film also included this cute live action ending song, which was just a joy to watch (crazy as it was).

I appreciate the more frequent show times compared to the IMAX releases, though after watching this film, the sound would be incredible with it. Hopefully that happens soon!

I came out of the theater happy, which I think is Ponyo’s greatest strength.

What’d you think about the film and had you seen it before or was this your first time?

I seem to be seeing a Ghibli film a month at this rate, and while I won’t be able to see Totoro in theaters next month, I will be in Japan then, so I can cover the short film I see instead!

Hello! I’m wondering about what kind of step-up/down transformer I will need to use with my Blu-ray player I purchased while abroad in England. It’s 200–240 V, ~ 50/60 Hz, and 13 W. I bought it due to region locking of DVDs and especially Blu-rays. Any and all advice on what transformer/other appliance I should purchase is appreciated. Thanks!

As the title suggests, I’m wondering where to find the stage door/signing for Cabaret on the West End (and if actors come out/sign). I’ve heard rumors that it’s just the main entrance but haven’t been able to confirm. If you know, please share. Thanks!

I’ve always enjoyed Arrietty, having watched both the American and British dubs, but seeing it in IMAX was nothing short of incredible! Of the three Ghibli films I’ve seen in IMAX, those being Kiki’s Delivery Service, Whisper of the Heart, and now Arrietty (missing Princess Mononoke continues to kick me in the butt), this one has benefited by far the most. Watching on either a phone or TV doesn’t do this film justice because the sound design is unparalleled. The IMAX visuals are fantastic, of course, but the sound is sublime. All the tiny details that I couldn’t hear before are so present and clear.

Because the British dub wasn’t available, which I prefer, I watched the Japanese version for the first time, and it was delightful. To start, the subbing is markedly better than Whisper of the Heart, my most recent comparison, but the voice acting is fabulous (to be expected) and full of life. It also demonstrated that the dubbed VAs really cared about their performances as well as I compared the two (from memory) and they’re remarkably similar. Haru is still as much a gremlin as ever, so I’m happy!

I will say my show times were a bit weird (Tuesday at 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM), but such is life!

Whenever I watch this film, I enjoy it but wish it was a little longer. That feeling still remains but I love it so much more now!
