need to make a summer reading list, any recommendations?

While being a native speaker, I am still the weakest Urdu speaker in a family where my mom's Urdu borders on Farsi at times.
She's been wanting that I get into Urdu reading (and I wish so too), but her recommendations start and end at Namal, and the rest she considers 'too difficult for me'

So please, can anyone help me find some interesting Urdu books such as travelogues, short stories, novels etc. that I can read over the summer, build my vocabulary, and get more confident in dealing with Urdu. (I don't want to live a life where I say "tumhein pata hai like ye hua", so fluency is something I wish to retain)

What's the sdp workload

Can any student who recently completed their freshman year at Habib (In SDP) tell me about their experience, how the workload was, and overall how new was the content to you

Was it better or worse than you expected and what were your average timings per day?

Validating food business idea

Im 20f about to start uni and have been eyeing the idea of starting a micro bakery from home just as a way to earn a bit of my own money. Made a similar post in a startup subreddit but wanted more insight

I want to offer deserts like banana pudding, trifles, and maaybbe cookies (i find cookies and brownies to be a very saturated market and won't offer them unless I am doing something exemplary with them)

I have been making these desserts for quite a bit, and also conducted a test drive with a few of my friends

Is this a viable thing to do, considering some of the offerings are not commercially available in bakeries at all
I'll probably be relying on bykea for deliveries

What other things should I keep in mind before starting, besides pricing, hygiene, marketing

do people in karachi like banana pudding?

20F, and I have been meaning to begin a side hustle of sorts, the most valid one for me being banana pudding (and specifically that) (i just think selling brownies, cookies, banana bread is very common, and the only reason I would be able to set myself apart is on aesthetic/brand value, which increases my initial investment cost)

I do have a decent kitchen space and enough money to start, but I still have some questions

- Are there any better services than Bykea to deliver the hypothetical products?
- How to correctly gauge the market to determine a good enough price point (after a thorough search on insta, i was only able to find 2 people who sell banana puddings, one of whom specifically specializes in it, but both were exorbitantly priced).

- Are there any pop-up opportunities out there in Karachi where I can set up small stalls,to sell the product?

- What unexpected costs should I be aware of? I have already accounted for transport, packaging, material sourcing, ingredients, equipment, and overheads like oven usage, etc.

and finally

- is there a scope of sorts to even pursue this?
My family is ofc, biased towards what i make but i also sent it to some friends who conducted blind taste tests with their family and their overall consensus was decent.

Question regarding fees

So ive been admitted into class of 2030 but they had assured us that after the admission fee, any sort of semester fee will be taken in august. however, i just got an email with the installment plan and 3 lakh to arrange in 11 days (due date is 5th june) is so ?? diabolical ??

Considering

  1. We aren't in the position to pay it rn
  2. still waiting on iba, have test on 21st

Is there any way i can withdraw my application or should i email them regarding my circumstances?

Cambridge is a mess and everyone should start looking for alternative boards

It's honestly been so disheartening to see everything transpire with literally ZERO acknowledgement from Cambridge. They only seem to care about math, and even then, their decisions are so out of touch?? It's as if they reign over May and June, and every day is just spent in waiting stuff out.

Like oh, here's us acknowledging keel, BUT paper cancelled new date reveal teehee
Here's us announcing a WHOLE PAPER POSTPONEMENT 2 DAYS before the paper

I was so excited to get done with A2 in May and use june to prep for uni tests and yknow have a life
Now its gonna drag out some more with a date reveal _after_ the rest of my exams end.

Im jst happy this is my last year
Its such a joke

[Highschool to University Level Math] What textbooks should I start with?

Basically the title. I've always enjoyed math, but I am in no way a prodigy or someone with insane aptitude.
I will be double majoring (starting August) in economics and math, and want to get a head start in improving my basics

Some background, did ALevel Maths (2 components pure math, 2 statistics) so pretty solid with calculus and trig, but its not very concept heavy (plus my teachers were horrific)

I wanna improve on my calculus and stat skills, so I am looking for textbooks I can work through as someone with shaky foundations, and looking to improve on skills like proof writing
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So I 20F am gonna be free from exams soon and have about 3 months before uni starts. I want to try something new and actually take courses/classes so does anyone have any ideas what Karachi has (😞 hopefully non-dha, 800 one way Indrive is not the way to go)

Anything cooking, baking (is chocolate academy good?), even art related would be nice or perhaps a new sport even

I would love some new leads. I'm looking for physical classes cz I've been stuck at home too long but if it's smthing cool online idm that either!

I wld look for a job or internship but everyone IS OFFERING UNPAID

IN THIS ECONOMY it's horrific
