This happened back in March, but it has been bothering me for a while, so I wanted to get outside opinions.
I joined a 10-week college-related program late because someone from the program reached out to me about three weeks after it had already started and said there were still open seats available.
Since I joined late, I had to catch up on about three weeks of content in less than four days, which I did. After that, I attended and participated in the program for about three weeks.
Then I had a family emergency one morning and missed a session. The program organizer emailed asking where I was, and I replied apologizing, explaining that I had a family emergency. In my response, I also said I may need to postpone my involvement for the time being one more week, but that I was still dedicated to the program and hoped to re-engage as soon as I was able.
The next response I got basically said they were sorry to hear about the family emergency, but they would remove me from the program and welcome me to participate in future programs.
I understand that programs have attendance expectations, and maybe my wording made it sound like I was stepping away for too long. But it felt a little odd because I joined late at their invitation, caught up quickly, participated for a three weeks, and had also seen other people miss multiple sessions without being removed.
What the heck even was the issue. Really think I wasnt liked for some reason but could not pin point it as I was enjoying the program and had made alot of new friends. Not sure if I should try the program again or just leave it at that.
Any tips? I went from riding a CAAD 13 to a Systemsix to now an SL7
