Who remembers the Burger King Kids Club?

I remember how exciting it was to get mail from the Burger King Kids Club. I'd lock myself in the bathroom, lay everything out on the floor, and read through every workbook. The stickers were my favorite. I was so sad when the mail stopped coming. I wish kids these days could understand how good that felt. I feel like I've been chasing that feeling of quiet, low-stimulation excitement ever since.

Update on the sign that was torn down on Division & Bedford.

For those who doubted the validity of the video I posted, you can take a walk to Cohn Triangle on Division & Bedford and have a look for yourself. Keep in mind that sign was also to prevent cars from blocking the view as you cross since it’s a very dangerous corner with a major blind spot— cars just speed through.

Group of men rip down a No Standing sign so that they can park.

This was at exactly 10:07 pm last night in front of Cohn Triangle on Division Ave & Bedford Ave. I’ve seen a lot of whacky stuff growing up in South Williamsburg, but this is a new one for me.
