Personal CAG tierlist

Personal CAG tierlist

After sitting for awhile. I came up with this list. I know the "sneaks" are gonna be the two on the top. But I genuinely think they're some of the best

Ps.Better with mods arent actually that, it just i think its coller than just B tier, essentially means "could be better"

I think NG4 elevate Ryu as a character for me

When I play NGB and NG2. While I liked how cool he is I dont think i truly care about who ryu is in terms of story. But I NG4 finally make me clicks with the character. From a badass hero he became a legendary figure who had a strong view of the world and what needs to be done. He didnt hasitate to work with D.D.O. for containing the Dark Dragon seal, his time with Seori makes me realize that from Ryu perspective everything is about precision. He's a super ninja, that means he devoted himself to the mission and choosing what's best for the greater goods. And when clashing with Yakumo he also knows to put his hands down if the situation is needed. He let the Raven Ninja do the job says a lot about him after NG1 and NG2 that he tries to do everything by himself. He choose what's best but not to let his own guard down, makes sure Yakumo had the skill to pull it off and he playing that straight. Essentially he finally become a master like how Murai taught him to be his own Ninja in NG1, NG4 complete the master Ninja arc for Ryu. In NG1 he's a passionate young man who has motivation for revenge. In NG2 he's a professional badass who keeping things right. And NG4 makes him a Master who knows what's best. I think it's perfect

I beat NG4 vanilla in 3 days

Recently I've played NGB and NG2, both are amazing, But NGB took me almost 2 week and a week for NG2 to finished, But holyshit NG4 is so much fun, I just playing it all day and finished it in 3 days

I really love this game, I know the style is not for everyone, but I really liked it. How the whole world looks and how grand and epic it feels, the graphic is really nice and the music makes me locked the hell in every encounters. Just like what NG music should be.

The story atleast for me is an upgrade over the trilogy, Which granted it still a 6-7/10 story, but for this series i feel like we went from Paul WS Anderson to spielburg. I actually enjoys most characters whether it's their designs or their characters. I previously said in a post that Ryu isn't grabbing me becuz the story cannot move me in the slightest. In NG4 despite the plot being a meh I find the moment to moment character and the intercoms dialogs helps me actually care about them, especially Yakumo and Seor. They're my favorite character of this whole franchise now. Seori is easily the best female character here and it's not even close.

I also enjoy the combat so much. The combat is so fluent, new mechanics are peak, the enemies are cool and the bosses are all awesome. It's very different from the trilogy before hand but also felt like they took what they liked about all three of them, sprinkle the platinum style into it and mash them into one unique game that might make NG4 my favorite Platinum game.

Small things that bugs me is the weapons, Shurikens are complete useless for a casual play, and I find Yakumo's weapons a bit weak except my goat mitsurugi(the staff) And I felt like the challenge arena(i forgot it's name) felt a bit annoying to play. Another thing is I feel like the rail sections are a bit too long, i dont hate it, but it could've been less in your face to me. And I agree with the yellow paints complain, they're deadass just bring a whole facility of house paint in this game and it's distracting, sometimes it even makes me confuse which is the actual way cuz all of them has the yellow paint. And the force walking sections are just plain dumb, they're really don't needed to be here.

Overall, I gave it an 8.5/10. If you seen my previous reviews on NGB and NG2, I gave both 8.5/10 too, I think these three game deserved to be equal. I just cannot pick my favorite here to save my life, I will come back to all of them

Just finished NG2(OGver) on Warrior difficulty

(I posted this on r/NinjaGaiden but the mods arent approving yet. So I just gonna post it here first)

A week ago I posted my review of NGB, Which I gave it 8.5/10 because I like the gameplay but disappointed by the story

For NG2, I will also gave it 8.5/10 as well, but both the good and the bad are exceeding to the max level.

To not make this felt too negative, I will start with the bad then end it with the good, and Of course, it's the story. Holy shit, I never play a game that disrespect it's own story THIS BAD.

The premise about a Ninja having to fight demon invasion from hell throughout the world sounds cool as fuck, but not only that the game doesn't handle it well, it threw the plot potential out of the window, piss on it, and tear it apart with ultimate technique fully charged. Characters doesn't exist, the plot is basically 70s episodic robot anime fighting weekly villain but with a ninja vs demon with barely any substance to work with.Ryu is boring, Romance so bland it hurts, reusing 2 chapter long plot point over and over again with cutscenes that had 0 direction to tell what is going on, villains that are all forgettable, the final boss came out of nowhere and cannot make me care for a mere seconds. and holy shit the archefiend is all time let down of a video game final boss.

the last bad point to me is of course, ROCKET DUDES, oh my god, who designed them? these are like the worst enemies in character action games i ever seen, forget the DmC colored enemies or the Blitz or literally all bayonetta's enemies, why are these guy just lock and loaded with a whole army worth of rockets. it just ridiculous to the point of being silly and annoying, I hate them.

The mixed part of this game to me is the level design, now I don't expect what NG1 pulled off, I liked linear game too, but some part like Chapter 8 where you need to shoot enemies in the building while having 0 hiding spot is pure headache, compare to NGB I never felt like anything is unfairly designed, but this game often pull the anger out of me just because of how it designed

The next mixed part is the Bow, I think this game is overusing the shit out of the bow. It's fun the first few time I charge the ultimate attack with the bow. but after awhile the game just say "stop. use the bow here for 20 minutes" like the chapter 8 building, the dragon bosses and the archfiend fight. these sections drew the fun out of this game for me entirely.

As for something I actually quite enjoy is the boss fights! Now I heard a lot about this game bosses but honestly? for me it's a total upgrade from NGB, the bosses had their own moves and way to encounter that unique and quite fit into the design, I like learning that and which weapon in the arsenal fits how to combat them the most, like the armadillo fight I really love using batons and smack the shit into their head, tho I think it's taking a cheap shot exploding when they died is straight up BS and unfair. good thing the other bosses don't pull this

And the combat and dismemberence system is just, undoubtly the best part of this game, it give this game the most characteristic point in the genre and it's the most fun mechanic ever, it makes weapons like the scythe and Lunar staff stand out in the hack and slash weapons system and probably the best combat system i've seen in games, this alone could drive the game into a 10/10 video game teritory, tho got dragged down by other points.

I liked the way this game simplified the item usages to minimal but very effective, It doesnt felt bloated like NGB but it still isnt casual, you still had a minimal share of resource management to do which i really love. and this bring me to one thing that blows my mind, that is the health system, OMG, why hasn't more game do this??? this is such a clever way to design a push forward combat. Automatically refills the health until the limits that gets worse if you performed bad, this health system along with the game's combat make NG2 such a unique game that I will never find alike elsewhere, in a way, I say these two system make NG2 a literal art form. I'm not exxaggerating. It's really good

All and all, I love this game, still, it's the most "We are so back" then "It's joeover" then "We are so damn back" again over and over in this game, it's pretty tiresome, but totally worth a shot. it's a game i will definit;ly play some more, and I will recommend to others. Amazing game that easily slide in my Top 10s. alongside it's predessessor. 8.5/10

The jump in design quality is amusing

Played the NG2OG chapter 8 for the first time and wow does the rocket dudes want me to dnf this game. But after getting to the clocktower and the chapter boss it just makes me love this game again. Toxic relationship as a video game fr.

How would Anarchists society handle ethics

If a community is to come up with "laws" for its community, how would they accept the rules if everyone would keep their own ways of thinking. What about a minority opinion. Is it going to come down to minor scale of Democracy again?

I'm playing NG2 on Acolyte, should i hot swap to Warrior

This is my first playthrough of the game after done with NGB. I really enjoy it. But i didnt realize acolyte supposed to be "easy" mode. I thought it just a "normal" mode. Should i just ditch and go new game on Warrior instead? One thing i might consider is i heard beating acolyte gave you a costume, but is the reward exclusive? Would i get the reward if i only beat Warrior mode. If each costume is exclusive i would just comtinue playing as is.

Just Finished my first NGB playthrough on Normal. My thought is...

To get it out of the way first, It's a very solid game. 8.5/10
I love the combat system, coming from DMC franchise this game made me rethink myself about how to approach combats and the fun zone this game provide. Surprisingly I thought the game would be more unfunly unfair. But it's really not, I always see the way to get through situation mostly without guides, except for Chapter 12 which the platforming puzzle drives me nuts.

I love the progression, Compared to DMC I first thought I wasn't gonna dig the direct 3 star upgrade system but it grew on me to focus more on buying healing items, I'm glad the game isn't punish you for using items even for the ranking systems as far as i could tell
The level design are mostly fun and explorable and mostly rewarding, with some exception like underwater level and the prior mentioned Platform puzzle, I enjoy running through this game exploring it's world.

As for what I don't like about the game is mostly bosses and some annoying enemies, the swarm enemies especially the ghost fish are really annoying, If i don't know I could sway them off I wouldn't finished this game. And 80 percent of the bosses left me with the "Really?" every time I beat them. The most enjoyable bosses are those that are dudes holding swords. Other than that I really disappointed. Especially Alma and the Giant devil lady
Other nitpick for me is the further the game goes on, I felt like the nonsensical stuff starts taking me out of the game, shit just happens. And I know this is mostly apply for character action games in general. But I'm kind of disappointed because the game has a cool premise that fell off half way through

The character also laughably bland. Like I'm not looking for Sony cinematic story cuz I hate those as well, But something akin to how Dante and Lady interact in DMC3 would satisfy me, instead, We got Rachel who do absolutely nothing other than get captured. Ayane didn't do much but I do like her the most out of everybody in this game, Ryu is disappointing, other than looking cool I dont see much else there as well. The whole village burning down and he's like "Damn you!" then go back to chill like its not a big deal.

I also find Doku ultimately fell off, he's the most interesting part of the game until he dies which I think happens too quick, he should've been the final boss instead of the cliche twist "my mentor was evil all along" for no reason

Lastly, I enjoy the game quite a lot, I will definitely comeback to play harder difficulties after I finish NG2 and NG3RE and maybe NG4 if it goes on sale too. All and all, I'm excited for NG2(I will be playing the OG ver. on Xenia for the best experience)

Please enlight me what is Granny's goodness's appeal

I read all the kirby forth worlds, TK MM, RamV New gods and the latest Ngozi Orion. I have yet to see the appeal for granny that i seen many people adore about her as a character. From my understanding she kinds of representing the absolute authority or extreme domestic violence in parenting. But I still didnt get how and why she behave the way she is. Unlike Darkseid that his personality is embody of evil and everyone hates him. It seem like the way everyone looking at Granny felt all over the place to me. Sometimes they liked her sometimes they didnt, it felt confusing to me. Could anyone explain me like im 5 about her appeal as a character

IS NINJA GAIDEN BLACK - GLOBAL RESTORATION PROJECT GOOD

Newbie wanting to explore the franchise. I heard Black was the best NG experience so I tried emulating, but its such a pain to get xemu works. So I look up and found NGSB and NGB-GRP. And I heard NGSB only changed visual style, but if the global restore project isnt a big deal I could turn to NGSB. Any advices?

Maybe I'm too old but I dont want DMC6 for now

We all know DMC isnt a game that easy to make polished in a few years, Dmc2 and 4 is the proof, despite 4 have a good base line the overall game felt so rushed out. Personally I dont mind if they took another 5 year to make a new game that could dethrone Dmc3 finally.

Not to mention Itsuno leaving capcom already so they need a new creative head. I truthfully dont get why yall are holding your breath for a new DMC right now, imo its very unlikely for at least for like 3 years. My point is, I think we just should be patient for now, It's nothing compare to waiting from Reboot to 5 or 4 to 5 at all

Am I crazy or theres something weird about how 26.1+ generated it's world

Everytime I generate a new world in 26.1+ ver. Its always island-ey maps and lacks variety of biomes so much, I play with a friend and we spent 3 days boating around and cant even find any biomes except plains and small forests and sometimes ice biomes. Its surely wasnt like this in 1.21 right? Is there any settings I dont know about or i'm just tripping.

How did moore get away with this back in the 80s

After reading his bibliography for awhile i noticed that his early work really share this pacing. That being kill off the MC rhen retcon him to be a fucked up true identity. Then went to a story to "reborn" into the new identity fullest potential, along with abandoning the loved ones and creates a new one. From Cap.Britain to Miracleman to Swampthing, hell even For the man who has everything kind of do this by having Superman went into his perfect dream life. Not to mention Supreme also does this in a way. Moore repeating this pattern so many times I imagine if he's a modern writer he would getting torn for shit about it
