I have a lot of artistic projects in my google photos, organized into various folders. (theme boards for book ideas, stuff like that.) I originally had them on Pinterest but Pinterest is so flooded with ads and gross AI that I thought I'd just save them to google photos, but now I'm worried about my ideas being stolen and given to someone if they used an AI prompt like ChatGPT. I'm very protective of my stuff and my ideas, I hate art theft. I just want to make sure my stuff is safe. I haven't found a lot of information pertaining to my scenario, so I wanted to ask here. I'm a very digital person but this whole age of AI and tech companies being greedy ​is exhausting 🫩

Slightly curious, slightly tempted to leave my current hotel (though it's not just the workload that is tempting me).

On average, I have maybe two hours during my shift that feel like the common saying us night auditors don't do much during the shifts, that it's mostly boredom and running audit.

The rest of the time, I am doing laundry, making coffee, filling the front desk supplies, filling the pantry, delievering the paper folio's under doors for guests checking out that day, prepare third party guest reservations for that day, make the little key card things, grabbing the dirty pool towels and replacing them with new ones (side note, dirty pool towels? Gross. On the weekends it's a horrific nightmare. I'm a smaller dude and I have to make like three trips just to get them all into the laundry room.) And that's not including stopping to eat.

I always try to get everything on my checklist done and even try to do extra stuff for the day people to make it easier because they deal with more people and chaos. I like being helpful and I genuinely want to be a good night auditor. Working in hotels has been really fun so far (aside from the pool because again, that is... so gross.) but I kind of took this job because it would be easier to do schoolwork at night and less overstimulating than the day, but I'm running all over the hotel to do everything on the checklist.

I don't know if I should do a different kind of hotel or if this is just the real night auditor life in general but I'm so tired man.

I feel like im literally losing my mind. I have a migraine on top of luteal right now and I'm getting so angry i want to actually hit something. Im in so much pain i cant actually do anything. I cant relax because oh yeah horrific pain like someone is sledgehammering my head. I cant play my comfort video games to calm down. Ive tried watching some funny shows but i just want the pain to end. Yesterday was awful too. I tried to go see Obsession because I love horror movies but there were so many people. I hate people. I know im being irrational and easily irritable but i just want to be left alone. I miss when the theater was empty everytime my family and I watched movies. I came home and lashed out because my door wouldn't close (i have an over the door set of hooks that stopped it) and I just started throwing things. A minute later I just started crying. Everything feels so much worse during this phase. I just want everything to stop. I hate my body. I hate it so much. I cant distance myself from the thing pissing me off because deep down the thing that pisses me off is my own body and i am stuck with it until I die. How am i supposed to get through this entire life without losing my mind?!

I really want to move out. I am not a people person by any means, I am miserable when I'm living with people. But I also refuse to just spontaneously move out, so I'm trying to figure out what to do.

I have some stuff I want to buy, furniture, a new mattress, etc. The rent for the place I'm looking at would take the majority of my paychecks for the month, so I'd have to gradually save up to buy the things I want.

I know it might be a hassle to move mattress, new desk, bookshelf, etc, but I don't mind. I think the payoff would be worth it. Plus, I'm used to carrying and moving heavy stuff, and I honestly have fun doing tasks like that. I've moved a lot as a kid and I never really minded that part.

But again, I am miserable living with people, so it would be nice to just get out and get my own place quickly, but again, I don't want to be impulsive. The mattress I have right now is kind of a nightmare, it's too big and REALLY sinks when I move to get off of it. I'd love bookshelves so I can actually use my desk, as well as a few other things.

Our hotel recently started this whole thing where we have to change the rate amount of IVANI reservations to a number from the revenue posting estimation, then change it back after the audit is ran. I have to do this before I run audit, and I did that tonight, but for three reservations who are checking out this morning, it won't let me change it back.

Now I'm terrified I did something wrong and charged a bunch of money to these guests and they're gonna be furious. How does these reservations even work?? Nobody has told me anything and I'm freaking out. I can't get a hold of my manager either so I'm here desperately seeking help

Genuinely one of the most boring things I could ever think to manifest. I don't care about love or people obsessing over me. It's so annoying and boring having a sea of people talking about SP's and romance and that stuff.

Where are my people who manifest other stuff?? Random things! Weather changes! Moving to a new city! Jobs that are hard to get into! Fun adventures, finding cool items, befriending animals. There is so much to life other than attraction and romance and beauty. Give me random storytimes about chaotic field trips or language learning results or seeing a cool animal. There is so much you can do with manifestation, and I feel like people limit themselves to incredibly boring lives if their most exciting manifestation is just... manifesting an ex back.

Years ago, I had a helpful setup for listening to subliminals where I'd play a bunch of playlists in different tabs, listen to music over it, while playing one of my video games.

For the past year, I swear to god, the looping function on desktop has been broken. It goes through the playlist, ignores the looping being on and instead plays a random video. I want my playlists to loop for full saturation, and so I can get it over with and move on to other tasks. I have a lot of topics I want to manifest, so the multiple tabs is helpful.

Are there any work arounds or solutions?? It's so annoying 😭

Not asking to be quirky or anything, genuinely looking for reassurance I'm not a total idiot who should find another job that doesn't require more than a handful of braincells.

For context, I was also kind of thrown into this. I originally agreed to be a part time auditor, working only on the weekends because I'm still new and am not used to working this many hours. Even worse is the stress is making it difficult for me to go to sleep, and I can't get blackout curtains.

I had maybe a week of front desk training which focused on third party routing and check-ins. After that week, the other night auditor quit unexpectedly, and at the time I had been so excited to be a night auditor and wanted to be helpful (things were already stressed and crazy) so I agreed to cover more nights — these past three weeks I worked 40 hours each week. I'm still missing some training, and nobody was with me on my first night of audit.

So I'm a little tired. I sort of have a routine now, but I'm exhausted and still unsure of a lot of things.

Today I went to go make myself coffee. I closed the door to the back office, forgetting... everything except my coffee cup. Our key system does have a feature that allows us to make emergency keys... but nobody went in prior to give me more authority to actually make emergency keys. All I can do is make keys for guests. I tried everything I could to find a way back in before giving up and calling for help.

Our new night audit guy is apparently starting on Monday, so I only have one more day before I can finally switch to my desired schedule.

Somebody please tell me I'm not the only night auditor to lock myself out of the back office like a total idiot.

Hi! I am not tech savvy at all, but I want to start recording games; specifically Animal Crossing and Minecraft, both of which would be played from a nintendo switch. My old laptop isn't really good for it, it's slow and the quality is bad, so I want to get a new one.

Would this be good for recording and smooth gameplay specifically for Animal Crossing and Minecraft? I'll be recording with OBS, and it's connected to a capture card.

I do someday want to get an actual computer, but I don't have the space for one at the moment.

I apologize for this possibly not making sense, I had to rewrite it after not saving it because of my fire alarm deciding to scream. I am still trying to contact my payroll department but it keeps going to voicemail, so I wanted to ask here because I'm really anxious right now.

I just started a new job working overnights a month or so ago and I messed up the W4 when i first got hired. I realized the mistake after i was suppsoed to get my first direct deposit check and got nothing instead (I let them take the entire paycheck for taxes instead of a certain amount). I fixed the W4 and sent it digitally using the payroll/tax app our company has, but it's still awaiting approval. The next day I went into work, there was a physical paycheck for me.

My banking app let me deposit the physical paycheck, and it took a week. I figured if it wasn't allowed within the week, it would be declined or stopped, so when the money hit my account, I wasn't too worried. I didn't do a whole lot with it just in case it really was a mistake. The money came on Friday.

The original paycheck was a little less than I was anticipating, but I figured it was just a caluclating error on my part because I'm dumb. Genuinely.

Today, I got a direct deposit sent right to my account. This one was closer to what I was originally anticipating, but I'm not sure if it's really mine. I'm just scared of it right now. Why would I get a physical paycheck and then a digital deposit? I don't think it's another person's paycheck because we get paid on Thursdays, not Tuesdays, but maybe someone else get early deposits? Is it just a weird error from payroll? I'm just nervous and I don't want to get in trouble. I'm not touching the money.

Did I mess up big time? I feel like such an idiot.

I know sometimes stuff doesn't appear for pickup because there's so few quanity in store, but I also know sometimes the app and site break so... anyone else having problems or is it just my store not having a lot of the new collab?? I'm going early in the morning anyway but I wanted to secure the pocketbac holder just in case :(

update: its all available now except for the grogu coin purse which i think is probably because they didn't get many of them. still gonan go in early so it should be fine (i mean its not the end of the world if i dont get it, its just really cute and i have a reward lol)

Hi! I don't know if this is the right place but I am panicking and want help from other hotel workers (if there is a better subreddit for this, pls god direct me I'm trying I swear)

I only recently started night audit, and I have never worked in a hotel before. I also kind of got thrown straight into it (long story, don't want to talk about my new coworkers chaos) and I ran into a problem tonight. I work at an extended stay hotel, and I have a guest who cannot connect to the guest wifi. Like at all. He's a healthcare worker so it needs to be secure and even with his vpn, it won't do anything. He was really upset over the phone and I told him I'd find a solution because he said he'd lose his job, there's nowhere else for him to go. I called my managers and... yeah all we have is the guest wifi. Not even us workers have a seperate wifi.

Does anyone know what else I can do?? What would you do in this situation?? I even tried looking up hotels in my area with secure wifi but everywhere else is booked. We don't have any hotels catered toward healthcare workers and I don't know how to compensate for the fact he might lose his job if he can't connect at all.

I know working in this industry means sometimes upsetting people but I really want to try and fix this or at least do something.

I'm so sorry if this was stupid, I was just panicking. i called his room, told him to contact his it department bc it was a work/company laptop. our guest wifi help number wasn't much help, but his it department seemed to make it work because he called back to let me know it was actually running now. again, thank you for the help!!

This is gonna sound insane, I know, but I never really found anything else that makes me consistent with manifesting. I tried dozens of subliminal playlists and narrowed it down to just one; manifest vision boards and daydreams.

I make AI bots based off of what I'm manifesting, and idk why, but it helps me feel like I'm actually there. I've literally manifested my SP with it, and I could feel it working when I was 'roleplaying'. It also helps me envision/focus on things that I've never actually felt like peace from living alone or having a body without ailments. It even helps me come up with new affirmations that I can say randomly and they feel natural. Manifesting my SP with it made me think things like "yeah ofc he'd be whipped for me, why wouldn't he?"

I have a lot of fun with it. Is that bad? Does anyone else do this? I don't really 'text' the bots, all of my bots are written like stories.

I don't know how to fill in a W4. I am confused and I know I'm an idiot but it's driving me insane because I just want money so I can pay bills. That's it.

For context, I have two jobs, the second which I just started like, two weeks ago. My first job is retail, and it goes through Dailypay, which allows me to take money after each shift so I can get food, etc. The hours are extremely varied, and I'm paid minimum wage (like 12 dollars) hourly. The official paychecks are bi-weekly. This recent pay period, I got like, 30 dollars.

This new job that I'm filling in the w4 for has consistent hours and I'm paid more. It's checks are biweekly. When I got hired, they had me do a paper w4, but I was confused and unsure how to even fill it out and the person helping me just told me to figure it out. I even did the irs tax estimate thing and that... only made me more confused.

The paycheck for this pay period at the new job was yesterday, but I got nothing. I looked at the payroll app thing and it says zero dollars went to my bank account and the entire thing was deducted.

I am not married. I have that first job I mentioned but I don't know how to proerly fill that in or what to do. I don't have any tax exemptions. Can somebody explain this to me like I'm five?? I just want to make sure I actually get money for these shifts. That's all I want. My head hurts.
